He quickly grabbed me and turned me around, pulling me into a tight hug. He was so tall, he basically lifted me off my feet, making me tiptoe, and buried his face into my shoulder.
"Stop! Let me go!" I pushed and hit him, but I didn't want to hurt him, so they were weak punches. Even if I hit him for real, I'm sure it wouldn't phase him either, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
"I didn't want to marry you, because I was in love with someone else." He mumbled into my shoulder.
"Yeah that makes me feel so much better!" Overcome with anger, I hit him harder, but he didn't move. He only held me more firmly. "Why didn't you just marry her?" I gritted my teeth tightly.
