Jessica waited very patiently. She glanced briefly at the boy who was now sitting beside her then took a deep breath.
She had been waiting for the parents in her room for over an hour, however, there was no sign of their coming.
"Revan, what do your parents do?" asked Jessica trying to break the silence.
The little boy shook his head slowly with a sad expression on his face.
"You don't know?" asked Jessica as gently as possible.
"Revan only knows that mom and dad work and come home late at night," said Revan slowly.
Jessica just gently rubbed Revan's head then shifted and faced her student.
"You go back to class, okay, play with your friends."
Revan nodded slowly then left Jessica's room.
Even though Jessica and Revan's parents had made an appointment yesterday, the guardian of the student was late for that long.
Jessica took a deep breath then leaned her back on the sofa. The girl closed her eyes, intending to relax a little.
The girl's mind was completely muddled. She still didn't get an answer from Rey about his conversation with William. I don't know what the man said until William was completely silent.
She was afraid that one by one the people who lived in the share house would find out their true relationship. And what about Lusi? What would Lusi think of her if she found out later? What about Vera's family who so expects her to be a daughter-in-law?
Why is it so complicated?
Knock knock!
Jessica jumped in surprise when she heard a knock on a nearby door. The girl immediately straightened up and opened her eyes wide.
"Sean?!" screamed the girl when she realized someone knocking on the door was Sean.
The man smiled though it was clear on his face that he was confused.
"Come in, Sean. What do you need to get to where I teach?" asked Jessica slowly.
Sean shook her head slowly. Honestly, he also just knew that Jessica was here. Who would have thought that Jessica was Revan's teacher?
The man sat on the sofa opposite Jessica.
"I came here with an appointment with Revan's teacher."
Jessica gaped in disbelief. Revan is Sean's son? Are you serious?
"When did you get married? How come your child is that big?!" cried Jessica without being able to prevent her curiosity and surprise.
"Heh? What? Did I get married? What are you talking about?!"
Sean immediately stuttered.
Jessica shook her head slowly, she then took a glass of water from her desk, then gulped it down. After being able to control herself enough, Jessica turned around and sat back down in front of Sean.
"I made an appointment with Revan's parents, and you showed up!" asked Jessica.
Could it be that Sean had been lying to her all this time? Could it be that he was just playing with her all this time?
Jessica feels bad now.
Unexpectedly, Sean even chuckled softly while leaning his back on the sofa.
Jessica immediately made a pout, She don't know what was so funny that it made the man chuckle like that.
"Why are you laughing like that?!" Jessica growled.
"Yeah, you're really cute! If I had a child, you should be the mother! You're making it up, Jessica!"
Jessica was silent. The girl's cheeks immediately blushed to hear Sean's words.
"Revan is my nephew! Suddenly, his mother and father have business matters that cannot be postponed, so they asked me to help them come to find Revan's teacher, how would I know it was you! If I had known, I would have brought flowers here!"
Jessica nodded slowly. For now, she had to ignore Sean's sweet words, and focus on her goal of inviting Revan's guardian.
"Alright, since you're here for Revan, let's just get started," said Jessica.
Sean smiled, then nodded slowly. He also immediately corrected his sitting position to be more polite in front of Revan's teacher.
"Lately, I have noticed that Revan likes to be alone, cries, he is also a temperamental child, likes to fight with his friends," said Jessica quietly.
Sean was quite surprised to hear Jessica's statement. Revan he knows is very cheerful, obedient, and likes to share. The boy was very kind to everyone. How can he change?
"Revan is not that kind of kid, he used to be very kind and cheerful. Do you know what could have happened, and triggered a change in Revan's attitude?" asked Jessica.
Sean took a deep breath, then shook his head slowly.
"I don't know either. We live in different houses," said Sean slowly.
In the past, they did live in the same house, however, since Sean was busy with work, he decided to live separately with them.
Who would have thought that his beloved nephew could be like this?
"What do Revan's parents do?" asked Jessica slowly.
"Both of them are busy working at the property company owned by our late father," said Sean, who still looked confused.
"There may be problems at home, if I may, I ask you to tell Revan's parents to pay more attention to Revan at home. Previously, I have looked into if there was a problem at school, but nothing went wrong. Fight are always started by Revan, so, I was thinking maybe something happened at home."
Sean nodded slowly. If he think about it, it's very possible, considering that Revan's parents are too busy working, Revan may lack love and attention. There is indeed a baby sister who looks after and takes care of the child, but of course, it will not be the same.
"I will pay more attention to Revan in the future, I hope the family will also do the same, for Revan's good," said Jessica in a very soft voice.
Sean looked into the girl's eyes intently. How lucky he was that Revan's teacher was Jessica. How lucky he would be if he had a child later, and Jessica would be the mother.
"Thank you, please help to keep an eye on Revan."
"That's my job."
Sean smiled crookedly, as did Jessica.
"Then, may I take Revan home? I want to invite him to play and find out what happened to the child," asked Sean.
Jessica nodded quickly.
"Sure you can, Revan is in his class, let me take you."
Sean nodded slowly, then followed Jessica to Revan's class. In class, his nephew was sitting alone at the end of the bench, looking down, and crying.
Sean also approached Revan, and squatted next to the child, because the bench there was very small.
"Wow, crying! You're already big, aren't you ashamed of your friends?" Sean said while gently rubbing the top of Revan's head.
"Oh, Sean!" Revan shouted with a wide smile on his face.
"Do you miss me? Do you want to go for a walk? We can buy toys, eat, play in the playground," said Sean cheerfully.
Revan nodded quickly.
"But I haven't come home from school yet!"
"It's okay, Miss Jessica will give you permission!"
Revan also turned to Jessica who was standing not far from them.
"Miss, can I go?" Revan asked doubtfully, Jessica immediately nodded, and smiled at the child.
