Chapter 46: Sword of Wrath

Baron also nodded his head in agreement and asked.

"What's your plan, young elf? If you are okay, you can stay in the Castle and train here. It's the safest place-" He abruptly paused as he realized the situation and shook his head.

"It's better for you to stay in an isolated village and increase your strength quietly."

"I have some other plan in my mind, My Lord. But I want you to take care of a few people until then."

"You mean Claude and others? Don't worry about them. In truth, I also need their strength now." Baron said in embarrassment.

Abium nodded his head, shifted his gaze towards his chipped silver sword, and frowned.

"I need a good sword, My Lord. Can I take one from the armory?" He asked.

On the other hand, Baron didn't find anything unusual in his request and nodded.

"Take whatever you want." He said while pointing his finger at the Mountain of weapons and armors and started walking towards the armory's exit.

Before long, he and his disciples left the armory and moved outside.

Meanwhile, Abium stood in silence for a moment and hurriedly moved towards the weapons.

He soon released his spirit power, covered the whole room instantly, and tried to search for anything abnormal.

Unfortunately, he didn't find anything through his spirit power and got disappointed.

Then, he took out a random sword, used Azolla's [Spiritual Scan] skill, and tried to see the sword's status.

He soon realized it was a normal sword and tossed it to the other side.

He scanned more than hundreds of metal swords for the next few minutes and finally found his target.

It appeared more like a rusty sword and looked older. But as Abium imbued mana into it, the sword suddenly shone in a reddish light and started to heal the chipped area on its own.

Before long, the rust started to disappear, along with blackish color, and was soon replaced with reddish silver.

But Abium soon stopped sending more mana as it consumed too much and sighed.

'I need to imbue more mana to restore the sword to its original state.' He nodded inwardly and looked at its status.

...

[Name: Sword of Wrath

Item: High-Tier Sword (Able to withstand up to Master Level Sword Aura)

Description: The Sword is made by an unknown Master Blacksmith and has the essence of his 'Wrath' hidden in it. Unlike regular swords, Master Blacksmith used a unique metal called 'Red Titanium' and strengthened the sword's durability. Upon unleashing an attack skill using this sword, its power would be doubled like one's wrath and give the enemy a big surprise.]

...

'It is indeed a powerful sword.' He nodded his head and stored it in his spatial ring.

Then, he walked out of the armory, looked around, and soon saw Baron and his disciples were talking in the nearby room.

He hurriedly moved towards the left side room and soon arrived near the opened wooden entrance door.

Abium then walked inside and looked around.

It was a 12x12 ft room with a wooden desk and three chairs placed at the center.

Both sides were packed with numerous scrolls and books. Abium saw stacks of books towering toward the tall ceiling and covering every inch of the shabby, old shelves. By its look, they had been sitting there for quite a while.

After glancing around for a while, Abium shifted his gaze towards Baron, seated behind the wooden desk, and requested.

"I'm planning to participate in the upcoming auction, My Lord. Can you give me a recommendation letter?"

Baron raised his eyebrows and slowly nodded.

"Wait a minute."

Baron Auguinare picked up an empty scroll from the cupboard and drafted a letter using a quill pen. After writing the letter, he took a seal from the nearby drawer and placed his noble seal on the left side corner. He then tied the scroll using a thread, covered it with a brown cover, and put another red seal on it.

Then, he took the scroll from the bench and gave it to Abium.

Meanwhile, Abium caught the scroll and nodded.

To participate in the upcoming auction, he needed a noble seal first.

Only merchant guild members, Noble household members, and mages had the qualification to participate in that Orchid Auction.

But with this noble sealed recommendation letter, he could skip all the restrictions and participate with other nobles.

Except for royal family members, no one even had any authority to stop him now.

After a simple glance, Abium stored the scroll inside his space ring and then bid his farewell to Baron.

"If you need any help in the future, feel free to come here, young man," Baron said with a solemn expression.

On the other hand, Abium nodded his head and bowed.

"Thank you for your kindness, My Lord."

After thanking Baron, he left the study room, walked out of the Castle, and moved towards the northern gate, where Helena was.

As he walked through small alleys, he saw a lot of crimes happening here and there but didn't intervene.

'Thieves guild members are clueless about what had happened inside the Castle. I guess Baron will take some measures against them from now on.' He chuckled inwardly and hurriedly moved towards the northern gate.

He soon saw Helena near the northern gate and looked around.

At that moment, Helena seemed to have handed over the Assassins to the town guards and stood next to the northern wooden gate.

Upon seeing him, she raised her hand and waved at him.

"How is Baron?" She asked in a concerned tone.

"He is fine. But it's also time for us to part away." Abium turned his face solemnly and chatted with her for the next few minutes. He also told her to stay in Baron's Castle for some time and get his trust.

"It would be much more helpful if you managed to convince him and bring him to the Royal City. We can use his help during the auction."

"I'll try my best," Helena said with a nod and agreed.

After that, Abium bid his farewell to her, walked out of the northern gate, and soon left the Dust Gate town.

'I need to reach the Bare Keep town before tomorrow nightfall. Otherwise, I might encounter bandits on the way.' Abium thought while moving towards the north.

He also thought of exploring the Mountain of Perished later and finding a way to enter the mysterious pocket dimension.

In the past, a group of explorers explored that Mountain's maze and returned with treasures and artifacts.

He outlined the schedule in his mind and quietly advanced toward the Bare Keep town's direction.

The trip was not so hard because there were no forest areas.

On his itinerary were just fields and farming areas. A few farmhouses emerge from his vision from time to time, and soon he saw some villages. But he didn't stop anywhere and went directly towards the north.

After a few hours, the day's heat had ebbed to a comforting warmth.

The sunshine soon lost its brightness, and the colors of the western sky reddened. Abium also halted his journey and started building a camping tent under a large red maple tree. The rough brown barks and the red color of that tree's leaves and flowers gave a unique beauty. Usually, there would be some dangers on this road, but Abium didn't encounter any bandits or thieves.

Abium knew this dirt road was an important trading route towards Dust gate town and Roseglen city and got surprised.

"It's better to stay alert during the night."

Abium nodded inwardly and sat in a meditative position.
