Erick paled. He knew that what was worst than what she told them about before was death. When he first heard about why Duke Henry also had to train Fabian, he was very alarmed. He already knew that it could be death. He didn't want to lose Fabian or his brothers. As such, he advanced Fabian's education to the next level and poured his knowledge into the young boy.
But having it affirmed heightened his fears again. He had kept training Fabian as best he could so the latter would be able to protect his brothers or at least save himself and escape when worse come to worst.
If his three nephews died, all at the same time, it would be too much of a blow to the empire and to the Imperial Family. Emperor Victor might also lose his mind due to it.
