Hendrick nervously followed into his father's study. He thought that he and Zafir would be getting a scolding from the duke for not reporting what transpired between Stella and Prince Aiden.
He knew for a fact that Stella would have to get married someday but he wasn't ready for what he witnessed. Aside from embracing each other, they were even kissing.
His blood simply boiled and he wanted that prince away from Stella. She was still too young to be kissing anyone. She had also always denied any special feelings for Prince Aiden.
Thus, Hendrick felt like Stella had betrayed him after seeing them kiss. He was angry at her for the first time. Especially after seeing her mesmerized by the prince. Her face was even flushed.
Instead of getting angry at the prince, she was blushing madly.
He had badly wanted to fight with Prince Aiden but Stella stopped him. Which irritated him even more.
