After the necessary greetings, introductions, speeches, and announcements, Stella and Zafir as the birthday celebrants were finally called forward. They both gave a brief speech before finally presenting the dance they had been practicing.
"Are you ready, milady?" Zafir asked. He offered his hand when she nodded and the musicians started playing.
Stella was nervous at first. It had been a while since the last time she danced in front of so many people. She could feel all the eyes on her and it felt like they were boring holes into her skull. Thankfully, the dance begins slowly at first before its pace gradually increases.
"It's alright, milady. You are doing very well. And I'm here for you," Zafir assured her.
He was always too observant. He always picked up on the slightest changes in her mood. After all, in the past six years, she had been with him most often. She was reminded that it was easy for him to read her.
