"If Stella is not reprimanding him, you shouldn't interfere," Alina said and Zafir was clearly against it.
"Lady Stella is too considerate to the point that she allows it even if it makes her uncomfortable," Zafir reasoned.
"Are you sure? If Lady Stella truly dislikes it, she could pull away her hand as soon as Prince Aiden held it. But she didn't."
Zafir pursed his lips bitterly when she said that.
"A lady's mind is much more complicated than you think. We often don't like overly persistent men. But sometimes, persistence is the key. We also want to be chased by our prospective lovers to see how determined they are or to prove their feelings if they are professing a marriage out of love."
Zafir remained silent as he processed what she meant and stared bitterly at how Aiden was still holding Stella's hand.
