"It's alright," Prince Aiden smiled despite his tears. "I was the selfish one for wanting something much more than our friendship."
Stella pursed her lips. She had nothing to say to that. But deep inside, she wondered if she had accidentally led him on.
"I do love you, Stella. I really do. So I will not give up on you. I will wait until you are finally ready to get married. I will wait until you also grow to love me the way I love you," Prince Aiden sincerely said.
Stella was rendered speechless for a few seconds once again before she could finally speak.
"Your Highness, that would be an awfully long time. You had always been honest with me so I also want to be honest with you about how I truly feel," Stella said with determination.
Prince Aiden simply looked like he was already hurting so much that it was better if she cut off things here and now. She didn't want him to cling to false hopes.
