I told her that it was fun. How we watched a movie but I didn't tell her what kind it was. And that we had a nice supper and had sex. And asked if I wanted to go to Rio with him. "And what did you tell Roan?" "I told him I would ask you and dad for consent to go", I answered my mom back. She just replied back, "Oh, okay. Yeah sure but ask your dad to Courageous. I answered back excitedly, "Yes mom, I will." Dad came home and I asked him. He said yes. I called Roan to leat him know.
So we all set off early next day. After we had a quick dinner and ate our last meal with Roan's family. We drove the short distance from their house to Rio where we arrived at 8 o'clock.
And it was so beautiful. It was the most beautiful place I had ever seen. There were thousands of people walking around and singing and dancing. And there were hundreds of stalls selling everything from food to clothes to jewelry. And there were also booths selling different kinds of drinks. And there were also booths selling different kinds of music. And there were also booths selling different kinds of food. In fact all the booths were being operated by different kinds of people. I never dreamed any of these places existed before today. I couldn't believe they were all real.
I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty of the place.
"Let's get some coffee", Roan told me, "and sit down for a bit". So we got some coffee and walked around. The streets were busy, and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. Everybody was smiling, laughing, having fun.
I just stood there watching everybody as they smiled and laughed and talked. Just looking around me.
After a while Roan took me to this booth that sold flowers and had them arranged in vases. We sat down and looked at the flowers. "These ones are beautiful" I told him. "Yeah. They're pretty, aren't they?" He answered smiling. We stayed there like that awhile. I don't know for how long, but I was still watching everyone. Some people were smoking. Some people were drinking. Some people were eating. Some were hugging and kissing their loved ones.
Some were crying.
Some people were smiling.
Some people were talking about their kids.
Some people were dancing.
Some people were just looking around at everything.
"Can you take me on a date here one of these days?", I asked him, breaking the silence between us. "You mean like right now?" Roan asked me surprised. "No silly. I mean on a different day. Somewhere like this maybe." I explained, smiling. "I'd like that. When should I bring you? Is Saturday okay?", Roan asked me smiling. "Sure whatever works for you", I answered. "Okay, well tomorrow we'll go pick up the flowers for today", Roan said smiling.
The rest of the morning passed fast. And I thought that today's trip was very important to me. I was so happy and satisfied that I didn't care what happened after I met Roan. It was the first time in my whole life I felt that the whole world was mine to control. And that I could do anything I wanted to do with it. I was free to do whatever I liked without anybody telling me or caring what I might do, except maybe my parents. But I was also free to have any friends or family I wished to do so with.
All through the day I enjoyed myself immensely. But I wasn't thinking of myself at all. Everything was for Roan. Not only was I happy to go with him to Rio. But I was also happy to have him there too.
At noon we decided to go on the tour and look at some of the buildings. So we headed toward the area that was named for the founder of this city. We walked along a river and visited the park. There were many trees planted all over the place, which was a perfect place for picnics. We ate lunch in a restaurant and bought some watermelon and fruit. Then we walked around some more. Then we headed towards the main square. It had a lot of statues and it was huge.
Then we walked around some more. We bought some souvenirs for each other and went to the movies.
On the way home we stopped at the flower shop again. We looked at the different types of flowers and the different colors. We got some roses and daisies and lilies.
By the time we got back to our hotel we were exhausted. So we both fell into bed exhausted, feeling like we could sleep until the sun rose. I didn't want to stay awake so late because I needed to get ready for school on Monday, but Roan wouldn't allow me to do that. So I stayed up, trying to stay awake. But it was hard. As soon as I closed my eyes Roan was there with his arms wrapped around me.
Then he said, "Let's sleep." And I was asleep in moments.
The next morning when we woke up we got dressed. Then we took our time getting ready. We checked out of the hotel and then we headed into town.
On our way we saw a lot of shops. And we went into several of them looking at everything. It was a great experience for us. I learned so much from Roan.
On our way home we spent the whole afternoon going to all sorts of places. And then Roan and I went back to his home room and got to bed.
I fell asleep immediately.

When I awoke the next morning it was 7:00 A.M. I looked over at Roan and found him sleeping peacefully. I quietly got out of bed and tiptoed downstairs to find his mother in the kitchen making breakfast.
She turned and looked over at me.
"Good morning sleepyhead", she said softly. "Morning Ma", I replied back smiling. "How did you sleep?" "Pretty good", I said sitting at the kitchen table as she continued with the pancakes on the pan. "Do you want to help me put those together?" "Sure" I said as she handed me a spatula. She helped me put the pancakes on plates and I poured syrup on top of them. "Wow", I said admiring the sight. "They're absolutely amazing", I told her as we went upstairs to finish getting ready. Because my parents were coming to pick me up from Roan's house. And we had to hurry because we only had about twenty minutes to get ready. After I got dressed I came downstairs. My mother was already waiting. "Ready?" She asked me. I nodded. We stepped outside to her car and started driving.
When we reached the house my father' s car was already there. I ran to the front door and opened it. "Mommy! Dad!" I yelled. My parents came out from behind the bushes. "Hey little girl", my father said, smiling. I gave him a big hug. "What's all this for?", he asked me. " "Well it's your birthday dad." "Thanks sweetheart." "You're welcome dad." "Now come inside and tell us about your trip to Rio." And I told mom and dad everything Roan and me did. Not leaving anything out.
"Well that was certainly an eventful trip", my mother said smiling. "Indeed it was". My father agreed. "Now come on little girl, let's go see if your brother is ready", Mom said standing up. "Come on honey", she added. We walked up the stairs. When we entered the bedroom I looked and saw that my brother and sister were still fast asleep.
"Go ahead and freshen up and then we'll go for a little walk and catch our breath", my mom suggested. "Okay mom", I said running over and giving her a big kiss. Then I went over to my brothers' bed and gave them a kiss too.
"Don't forget to take your medicine", Mom reminded me. "Of course not", I replied. "But thanks anyway", I smiled. I grabbed my backpack and my coat, and quickly left the room.
My parents drove us around in my dad' s old car. My father drove slowly, because he liked to make sure the road was clear and smooth. And since he didn't want any accidents to happen while we were riding around I rode with my hands on the handle above me. And every few seconds I would hold my head up high and look ahead. And every once in a while I'd smile at my reflection in the window, or I'd turn around so I could see what was going on behind us. I was glad I finally knew where we were going. It looked like we would arrive really soon.
Finally we made it to an area called the Woodlawn Park. There were many people here. We parked and got out of the car. "Let's walk around for a while shall we?", my mom asked me. I nodded. "Yes please!", I said excitedly.
We walked around in the park for almost an hour. My parents were telling me about some of the things in here and they were so interesting. I was enjoying myself. I was having such a great time being with my family that I forgot how tired I actually was and by the time we finished walking around we were already hungry. But we couldn't stop now. We had to eat something first before going anywhere else.
We returned home and ate dinner. And then we went to bed. I fell asleep immediately after eating the food my mom made for us.
When I woke up it was seven o'clock. I had a very nice dream last night. I dreamed that I was on the beach in Rio. The sky was completely blue, the waves were calm and peaceful. I was laying down and it was raining lightly. The clouds moved slowly across the sky, casting shadows over the ocean. The air smelled fresh and clean. I loved that dream.
After getting dressed I went downstairs to see what my parents were up to. They were sitting in the living room reading the newspaper. So I sat beside them on the couch.
They noticed me right away and looked over at me.
"Hi little one!", my dad said smiling. "How are you feeling? Did you have fun yesterday?", he asked me. "I did. I had lots of fun. It's such a beautiful country and the people are so friendly", I said smiling back at him. "Oh, I'm sure you did", my mom said nodding her head approvingly. "Yeah. Well, I guess that means you're ready to start school today", my father said. "I am", I replied smiling.
"Great, just make sure you take your medicine", my dad replied. "I will", I said. He nodded and stood up, and then I did too. "Well I'll take you guys out to buy something to eat", my mom said smiling. "No, thank you", I said. "Why not?". "Because I can get something to eat here, and then I'm going to take the bus home."
"Oh okay", my mom said smiling. "I'll be back later", I told them and then went out the door.
It was a sunny day, and although the temperature wasn't that cold it was still pretty warm. The weather was always hot in Texas.
I decided to go to the mall to buy some clothes. I also wanted to buy shoes and socks and a toothbrush and toothpaste.
As I went into the shopping center I went to the underwear section first, picking up a pair of briefs, two bras, shorts, two socks and an oversized shirt and a couple of towels. The clothes I chose were light colors. I picked out a yellow T shirt and a pair of black shorts. I also bought a pair of sandals.
Next I went to the shoe department. I picked out a pair of white sneakers, a pair of black sneakers, a pair of black boots and a pair of white tennis shoes. I also bought a pair of white socks and a pair of white sneakers. I didn't buy a pair of sunglasses though because the sun felt really nice. And I also picked out some new flip flops. As I was leaving the shoe store I saw a man selling souvenirs and I decided to get one. That is what I did. I bought a small bag of souvenir rings, pens and other stuff.
Once again I took the bus home. And as usual when I arrived at the house I went straight to my room and changed into my pajamas. Then I got in bed and went to sleep.
