A small reptile with a cannon where its snout was supposed to be sat in front of him, curiously staring and sniffing him.

Upon trying to pick it up, he found out the thing was heavy for something that could fit in the palm of his hand, but it wasn't unbearable as he put it on his shoulder before opening the door to the restaurant.

Five people came in. 3 men and a woman. And he was familiar with them, due to them being regulars at the place. "Heyyy, Seth- What the fuck is that?!" One of them shouted out as they saw Vince sitting in a corner while eating breakfast.

"My guard dog. What will you be having?" Seth replied nonchalantly, causing one of the men to laugh in response.

"2 espressos, 3 tea cups, 3 waffles and two eggs and sausage. You know, the usual." Jamal, one of the men said before taking a seat, followed by one of the women and women who looked uneasy, while the other two were stuck in place, shocked by the unusual sight, constantly glancing at the salamander on their way to take a seat.

Seth disappeared into the kitchen, before walking out with their order after a while, followed by the skeletons who also set the food down. "Enjoy your meal." He spoke, prior to returning to his spot.

"So, Seth, what'd you get from this whole apocalypse thing?" The man asked him while sipping his coffee.

"A sentient flamethrower, a flying freezer, a fast bird, a frog, and a sentient assault rifle, and a weakness." He said before speaking himself. "How are you able to get here? I thought the world was crawling with monsters now?" He questionned.

"Haven't checked the internet lately? People from other worlds came to help out." He said as he leaned back in his chair. "People also awakened to some magical powers. One of those happens to be standing before you."

"That explains the lizardwoman and naga yesterday." He said while checking his phone, finding that the internet was still fully functional somehow as he read up on whatever news he missed, finding it to be basically summarized by his customer's words.

"Heh, your restaurant is still the wackiest place in town, even in an apocalypse." Jamal said before standing up, and paying in coins, which made Seth figure out that he needed to change the currency on the menu to coins.

"I didn't learn how to cook for years to be the worst place in town." He said as he took the coins, counting them before finding out it was exactly right.

"I'll see you later." He said before leaving the shop, leaving Seth to look at his social medias, which were filled with news about the apocalypse, and new awakeners.

"Maybe I should try this whole awakener test sometime soon." He said out loud. "I'll do it on my day off." He declared as a person entered.

"Hello, how may I help you?" He asked as he stared at the man with wolf ears and a tail.

"This." He said as he pointed to a pizza on the menu.

"Toppings? Extra cheese?" Seth asked, seeing the man freeze in place before grabbing a flip phone and calling someone, panicking as they asked them things in a hushed voice.

"Mushrooms, extra cheese, olives, and chicken." He spoke in a calmer voice.

"Sure. You gonna eat it here or do you want takeout?" Seth questionned while staring at the man.

"Takeout."

Seth then nodded before walking into the kitchen, going to make the man's pizza while the skeletons watched him, before they came out with the man's pizza in a box.

The man left the shop after putting a crystal down, not even asking for payment or change. Seth just accepted the crystal as he watched the man leave, before closing shop early. He then walked into his dungeon, sitting down cross-legged to cultivate and finding out that his cultivation speed was faster in there instead of outside.

He also occasionally heard crying, wailing and screams near him that snapped him out of his cultivation trance, only to return to his cultivation after a moment, ignoring them while his heartbeat quickened the longer he did it.

A while later, he coughed up a putrid black substance, that disappeared into the dungeon along with any filth on his body.

Seth's entire body popped and cracked as an unbreable itch spread through his entire body, as he wanted nothing more than to tear off his skin to relieve himself from the itch while he could feel his body being remolded into a more powerful one.

[Multiple heads cultivation has leveled up.

Level 2: Basic dark magic. Partial transformation.]

[You transcend your human limits]

[+20 to all stats.]

After what felt like ages, he stood up and noticed a black mist rising from his body, that he tried to contain with mana manipulation, only to miserably fail.

Before embarassing himself any further, he decided to read up on what it did.

[Mana manipulation lv.1: Allows you to control your mana, and use it in more accurate ways. The only way to cast skills without casting.]

That led him nowhere. So he kept trying to use mana manipulation to redirect the mana back through the way his cultivation did it, only to fail every time.

He then tried to store it elsewhere, storing it in his heart, which would totally not have terrible consequences. But despite his thoughts and any risks he theorized, he went through with it, to surprisingly good results as his body subconsciously absorbed the dark mist after using mana manipulation for a while. He could even feel himself growing slightly stronger.

[The god of magic loses his mind at your absurd ways.]

He raised an eyebrow at the message before shrugging it off and leaving the dungeon to find out it became night time. He then left the dungeon, only to be greeted by the starry sky.

He quickly cooked himself and the beasts dinner before heading to sleep.
