Tala
The journey back to him feels like an eternity and what could have been quick run is a car ride with Lowell. "Thanks for taking me back," i tell him calmly.
"You know I'll always be here for you, Tala," Lowell responds with a smile. "Besides, it's not every day we get to go on a road trip together." He laughs, and I can't help but join in, feeling grateful for his unwavering support.
My phone beeps in my pocket and I check it. It is a message from Walker.
Walker: Are you on your way?
A slow smile spreads to my face as I reply.
Yes.
The fact that my dads allowed me to go back is everything to me. It just means that they trust me. I can't wait to explore this thing with Walker. I haven't been excited about anything in a long time and I don't know what this means but I am happy to see this through.
