Her eyes are on me but there is some ringing in the back of my head that is telling me not to leave her here. She is not thinking rationally right now, her mind is on getting to her mate and I understand that.
I understand that completely.
"Shit, I can't leave you here alone. You have to come with me,'' I tell her.
She opens her eyes wide like I am being ridiculous "I know you want to run. I can't let you do that."
"You also can't make me do anything I don't want to do."
I sigh "Tala, please, I am here for you. Will you just let me do this for you?"
I am pleading with her right now. I will not leave her. If she wants to run and find her mate, that is fine. She will not be alone.
She sighs and tosses the bag in the car "Do you want to drive? I can drive us there.''
