"That's messed up,'' Tala exclaims after I tell them what happened with the call. Lo is beating himself up for this and I understand. I have never killed anyone, so I can't say I actually relate to this but at the same time, this is not his fault. I told him it was self-defence and I meant it.
The man came to his compound, he attacked him. At the end of the day, he defended himself.
"Do you actually think it was actually self-defence?'' Colm asks and I know that he is about to bring up the rumours about Lo.
"He said it was, I believe him."
He nods immediately because of the tone of my voice. They said he killed his mate and maybe he did but I am so sure that he had a reason. He wouldn't just kill someone just because.
"Your boyfriend seems like a lot of trouble, are you sure you are up for it?'' Tala asks me as we turn into a familiar road. We are close to the shadow pack and all I want is to be in his arms again.
