I wear a pair of flip flops just as a knock comes from my door. I open the door and Khalid is on the other side of it. It is almost seven and I am so excited to see Walker even though I can tell he doesn't even want to be close to me.
Walker is in complete denial and maybe that is what makes this fun, but I want to peel all his layers and watch him give in to me. It has been a while since I had this type of excitement and I want to enjoy it as much as I can before it passes.
"Why are you here?" I ask him as he comes inside.
"We are leaving tomorrow,' he tells me.
I don't actually care but I nod instead "Okay."
"I will miss you while you are here,'' he adds.
I shrug "Okay."
