"Are you still mad at me?" Khalid asks me.
He is seated next to me on a log of wood. The fire is burning in front of us and it reminds me of the tent and the conversation I had with Walker just a couple of hours ago.
"I am not mad at you.''
He nods "Then why won't you talk to me?"
He has seen me with Colin, he knows that I have my friend's back. I don't see the use of Khalid anymore, especially since he fucking snitched on me and broke my trust.
"I think you know that it's best if we just stay apart for a while."
He sighs and I watch him run his fingers through his hair out of frustration but my eyes only linger for a couple of seconds because I sense Walker and his presence is strong.
I turn my gaze to Walker and he gives me a pointed look as if watching me interact with my friends. Khalid is still looking at me but he hasn't said anything.
