Tala has found her mate but she didn't even seem excited about it. Finding my mate is something that I have always been looking forward to and I still haven't fucking confirmed it.
I have no issues with the way things are now with me and Lo but I just want to completeness that comes with having a mate. We can't do the ceremony, we are not accepted by the goddess. The whole thing is just messed up and I want it to end.
Tala, on the other hand, I am excited for her. Maybe I have selfish reasons--I mean, the guy is a member of the shadow pack and even though she hasn't told me who it is, I am pretty sure he would be amazing. That just means that she can always be close to me if she chooses to stay here.
I go back to the room just as my phone rings. My dad's number fills up the screen.
"Hey dad,'' I manage.
