After the run, we change back into our clothes and I can't help but watch him. Give me a break, the man is a hottie. He has been looking at me suspiciously and I know it has nothing to do with my body.
"You think I am stupid, don't you?'' he asks after we are fully clothed.
I put on my sneakers and he watches me, waiting for me to give myself away.
This is not my first rodeo.
Men are gullible. They see a pretty lady and they forget themselves—at least all the men I have come across. This guy seems to be different; I don't like that I can't read him easily. The main reason why I am even here is to be able to read him and he is not giving anything away.
"What are you talking about?" I ask him calmly, acting oblivious to his suspicion.
He smiles "Did Lowell send you. Are you here to spy on me?''
I take a step closer to him. he doesn't flinch or move away "No one tells me what to do.''
