Damian reached out to grasp her fingers. "I do not think you need to thank me. After all, I have saved your life again," he assured her. "It was my kind and generous heart that brought me here." He smirked, and Anda rolled her eyes.
"Seriously?"
"What? I'm just being kind here." He said as he gave a lopsided grin. He believed in pointing out his accomplishments. How else could other creatures properly appreciate his many talents?
Anda's lips twitched as she rolled her eyes, and she released his claws and waved him into the cavernous space. "You are seriously out of your mind, Damian." She said, and added, "But, well. I should warn you that things are a tad…" She paused before she cleared her throat and continued. "I heard something yesterday. The demon prince is here on earth…"
"What?!" That got his attention. Anda knew? He thought to himself: how was it even possible for someone like her to know such a secret?
