Blanca accelerates up the next ramp after rounding a corner. She appeared to be fleeing from someone or something. She was well aware that she was on the run for her life. But the strangest part was that she was out of breath and could feel how fatigued she was at the same time. Her knees were begging her to give up.
Oddly. She hadn't felt this weak and exhausted since Dimitri had turned her.
Blanca thought to herself, she was a vampire, for God's sake.
Even though she was a predator, she was unable to run fast since she had become too weary. It was surprising. She was supposed to run in a blur and never get tired. But now, she felt nothing but fatigued.
