Jacob Mackay
Jacob sat across from Fox in his office, staring off into space absentmindedly. Fox rambled on about some crime they had committed earlier on. Jacob couldn't care less about it. His mind was restless. He couldn't seem to find peace anywhere. Sutton had left him and now everything seemed meaningless.
He ran a palm over his face in frustration. Angry about the way things were turning out. If he wasn't the tough guy people saw him as, he would have broken down because breaking down was exactly what he felt like doing.
Jacob heard Fox call his name, but it sounded so distant, like a voice coming from another planet. He tried to pull himself back into reality, but he didn't get there until Fox snapped his fingers and yelled his name in his face.
Jacob forced his eyes to focus, only to realise that Fox had left his seat and was now standing directly in front of him. He couldn't even tell when Fox made that move.
