It's been two weeks since Iona snuck out of school with Jack and Mike brought her home. During these two weeks, Iona's found out that Mike lied about her parents calling him in a flat-out panic, but rather that he was the one to call them. We already know this. Iona kinda knew this, but now she knows for sure. This is because Mike sent her a message and apologized for getting her in trouble, but it seemed safer than leaving her alone with "that other guy". Iona didn't take it very well, and so it's been about two weeks since she's really talked to Mike.
Iona has also found out that Jack doesn't break a promise. She haven't seen him since he apologized again and closed his curtains. His curtains haven't been open since then either, and she can't help but wonder what's happened to him. She's of course still been grounded this whole time, which for the record and for those keeping score at home is the only reason why she didn't go have ice cream with Jesse and his friends.
