When Emily returns to her table, she immediately picks up the table water and pours some for herself. Her heart was beating fast; she just wanted to calm herself down.
"Boss," Kevin noticed that her face was a bit red. Emily drank the water and felt a bit calmer. "why are you all not eating?" Emily noticed that the food had been served.
"We were waiting for you," Kevin answered.
"I am here now, eat," Emily did not know how her face looked; she did not dare allow them to ask if she was okay. After all, she could not tell them she ran into Eric and argued with him.
Kevin wanted to ask if she was okay, but seeing her reaction, he shut his mouth and pretended not to notice anything. Emily calmed down after a few minutes and started eating.
Occasionally, the scene moments ago would play in her head; she could not tell why she felt comfortable around him. She hated herself for feeling that way, but there was nothing she could do.
