Emily was busy that Monday morning and did not have the time to care about gossip. She had her schedule packed because, to her, this was the best way to deal with the hurt she felt inside.
Although she did not care what others did, Jamie, for example, was unhappy to see the news, and he could guess who was behind it.

Lily was surprised. Ever since she got close to Jamie, he has let her do what she likes. In fact, he sometimes pampered her more than her brothers. She could not believe he was beginning to question her actions because of Emily.
