Eric could not see her face clearly but he knew that something was wrong. Emily was the one who had suggested to spend time in the resort so it did not make sense for her to suddenly follow another man into his room. Thanking the manager, Eric stepped out of the office and called Emily again but there was still no response.
Although he felt that the situation did not make sense, he was even a little angry that Emily had left him and gone with another man, he still found himself walking over to the room.
He wanted to confirm that she was okay. Emily had always denied her feeling for him, he was the one who convinced himself that she liked him. He also knew that the reason she suddenly agreed to be his woman was because of his mother's provocation. He thought he could use this time to make her love him but reality was indeed different from fantasy.
