Emily's heart missed a beat when she heard Eric's words. She suddenly felt bitter, Eric held up her head making her look into his eyes. "You don't have to deny your feelings, I can see me in your eyes," Eric said. Emily was drawn to his gaze, she felt her heart leaning to him.
"Give me a chance, we can be happy together," Eric said lowering his head and closing the space between them.
"Happy together" his words echo in Emily's head. The thought of being selfish and living happily with Eric was like a bucket of cold water poured all over her.
It cleared her head, "what am I doing? ' Emily asked herself when she realized that she had thought of accepting Eric. She immediately pushed Eric away and ran to her room without looking at him. Her movement was Swift, she was afraid that if she stayed any longer she would give in to him. Loving him was her sin.
