Kevin walked in as soon as he heard Jude's voice. He greeted Jude before walking towards Emily, holding a basket in his hand.
"I am sorry I was not able to visit yesterday," Kevin first apologised to Emily. Since something suddenly happened to her, he was under so much pressure and could only do everything possible to keep the company together.
"I understand," Emily could not blame him; her sickness meant he would have to deal with some of her work.
When Kevin heard her, he was relieved. "I thought that since you just woke up, you must be hungry and don't have anything to eat. So I brought you food. It is very light and should not affect you. I also asked the doctor, and he said it was okay for you to eat the porridge," Kevin said.
