Eric did not decline the offer and took his seat. He knew he did not need to stay in the room, but he stayed anyway. He was convincing himself that he wanted his visit to be genuine.
"Did the doctor say when she would wake up?" Eric asked. He was very worried and did not realize that his cold and indifferent face at this time showed some concern.
Jude noticed this change and was a little surprised; he had been in the world for so long, so he knew that Eric was sincere, but why? He knew what kind of people the Browns were. They only cared about profit, and they have made a little loss since Emily returned.
"Maybe at night or in the morning; the doctor said she has not been resting," Jude answered honestly. There was nothing to hide about Emily's condition. Eric could find all this out if he went to the doctor anyway.
"Alright," Eric got up to his feet; how could he continue to sit still when Jude kept stealing looks at him?
