Samuel and Emily arrived at a bar in the hotel Emily was lodged in. This was Samuel's idea, and he felt that it was safer for her to get drunk there and return to her room without any problems.
Kevin arrived shortly after, and the three sat at the VIP corner and chatted happily. Samuel looked calm, but he was looking at his wristwatch from time to time.
"Do you have something important to attend to?" Emily asked when she noticed his actions.
"No, I was expecting a call," Samuel replied.
"Oh, your girlfriend, you look anxious," Kevin joked. Since it was not a formal setting, Kevin was very free with him.
"No, I don't have a girlfriend," Samuel felt the need to clarify. He thought Kevin had said that on purpose to demerit him in front of Emily.
"Ahh, one would have thought that, giving your charms, you would have lots of women around you," Emily joked. She knew that a person like Samuel would not lack women.
