The party officially started; Eric sat down with his parent, and the Smith mother and daughter were also at the same table. Eric was unsure if this was a coincidence or if someone had deliberately arranged it. His gaze was cold, and he hardly commented on the topics being discussed.
Eric looked around the hall, and his gaze paused on Emily; he recognised the man sitting beside her. His eye turned dark as he saw them acting like a couple.
He had met them at the resort. He wondered if there was really a relationship between the two of them. At the resort, he thought that the two got along well. After finding out that they went to the same school, he thought they were just old friends but seeing how much attention he was giving to her; he felt that things were not so simple. They were others at the table, and they seemed to all get along.
