It took Alex everything in him to lean down and call out for Astrid and he was certain it reached her. The vampire in him hungers for blood, the wolf wants destruction, the wizard wants to reach out to the end of the world, and the darkness magnified them all and still added its characteristic which is chaos.
"Astrid, come back to me." Alex said before allowing himself to fall for his desires. He stood up and everyone in the room could feel death hovering over them, an inescapable fate. They weren't thinking of a way to escape since it would be useless. All they have to do is hope they are alive by the time Astrid wakes up.
"Where is Donaldson?" Jake asked
"He left already."
