Alex's legs took him faster than he ever had and he was able to arrive in the nick of time to shield Astrid from the lightning. The movements were so fast the humans didn't see what happened. Apart from the gust of wind some of them felt when Alex ran past them, they didn't feel any other thing.
"Are you alright?" Alex asked as she hovered above Astrid. Apart from his burnt shirt, nothing showed that he was struck by a lightning. Alex just like his father has high immunity to magic, so there was no way lightning magic made by Phyna would harm him.
"Yes, what about you?" Astrid was worried because she knew Alex took the lightning.
"Did lightning just strike?" One of the students asked. With the commotion of the fire, it's easy to miss what is happening around Alex and his friends.
