George knowing that Alex was about to kill his opponents, left to stop him. But before that, he made necessary preparations. First, he sent a telepathic message to the spy to create havoc, and also sent some agents to attack them. He is doing that so that Astrid and the supernatural wouldn't interfere when he fights Alex. At first, he wouldn't have taken such precautions because he would have underestimated Astrid, but after seeing how strong Alex has gotten, he knew Astrid too must have gotten stronger.
"What do you mean?" Astrid asked but before the spy could say another word, he convulsed and died.
"Get ready, the enemies are coming." Astrid felt the enemies approaching. She knew that Alex would definitely be in danger but she couldn't find it in herself to abandon everyone here. All she did was say a silent prayer in her heart for Alex and hope that he survives.
