An unknown place. It was a battlefield. Joshua was wearing red plate armor that looked like dragon scales. A sword was within his grasp, and as he looked at it, he saw his reflection. Joshua was not himself. He was now a blonde youth with long straight hair. The thing that caught the most attention was his long pointed ears.
"Am I dreaming? And it looks like I'm an elf."
A soldier ran in his direction. "Elandorr, we can't win this. The dragons will wipe us all."
As Joshua heard that, he gazed at the battlefield. The army of elves was facing an army of humans. But the humans had a clear advantage. They had tamed dragons that breathed fire, turning the elves into burnt corpses.
Joshua was not in control. He saw things as Elandorr as if it was a memory.
"What did you say?"
The soldier who said that shrank in fear as Elandorr gazed met his own.
"I think it is time to show these humans why I'm the strongest."
Elandorr marched towards the human army alone. All of the other elves were already retreating. For them, it was already a lost battle.
The commander of the human army saw Elandorr walking straight at him. "Elandorr. Are you seriously thinking of going alone against my army? Living this long finally made you crazy, huh."
Joshua saw that army facing him. He was scared. Even though it was a dream, that was still a scary sight.
"This Elandorr is a madman. He can't win, right?" Joshua thought.
"Despicable humans. Do you think you'll come into my land and do as you wish?" Flames covered Elandorr's body, and after each step, he got bigger.
"Do you think you'll hurt my people?" The ground cracked as he stepped.
"Steal my land?" Elandorr was now close to the height of a building.
"I'll make you witness the power of the sun."
Above Elandorr's palm, a huge fireball formed. It looked more like a sun. It was gigantic.
With only that attack, thousands of humans turned into ashes.

Joshua woke up. He gazed at the others and realized that they were still sleeping. Everything was dark. The only light was the one from the campfire.
"Elandorr... Who is he?" That memory ended out of the blue, but it still gave Joshua a piece of information. Elandorr, an elf, had the mark of Solan, just like him.
It was strange. Elves were not common nowadays, as they had suffered a lot during the millenniums. Joshua was almost sure that there were no more than one thousand elves.
"That war probably happened a long, long time ago. I don't think I'll be able to find clues about it so easily."
At first, he had no idea why he dreamt about that. But he understood it after he saw Solan's mark on that elf. The same God blessed both of them.
Joshua still had no clue about what triggered the dream. Why now? He thought.
Thinking about it at that point would not make any good. As the sun had yet to rise, Joshua decided to go to bed. Their journey towards Rinidan was still long, so it was best if he got some rest.
~~~~
The sun had barely risen, and the four of them were awake. Aurora noticed that Joshua did not seem that well. "Hey, Joshua. You look tired."
"I've got too anxious," Joshua said.
"Don't worry. I feel the same," Aurora comforted him.
"All right, everyone. Let's not waste any time." Khali said to them while he unsettled the tent, preparing to leave.
A long journey was still ahead of them. Wandering around like lost flies would make everything harder. They followed the road without taking unknown shortcuts. Aurora was knowledgeable but not that much. Following the same routine of; walking, setting up camp, eating, and sleeping. Joshua did not die of boredom due to Aurora, as they chatted a lot during the trip. As for that dream, it never happened again. Joshua was curious to see the end of it. But it was something out of his control for the time being.
They had not seen the pursuers during the entire journey. Perhaps they lost them, but Joshua was more inclined to think they were still there, stalking like a snake and waiting for the best opportunity to strike.
Well, now that the great walls of Rinidan were so close to them, they felt safer. A straight line formed in front of the city's gate. It was a famous city after all. Many people go there for various reasons. Guards checked everyone that entered the city. Speaking of guards, the sturdy stone walls of Rinidan had a lot of them at the top. Joshua was sure that it was a city well protected by all means.
Khali spoke up. "We're finally here. Let's follow the line and get checked by the guards. We don't have anything illegal, so it should be ok to enter."
It happened as he said. They waited for one hour, and when their time came, the guards checked if they had anything illegal with them, and that's all. Joshua noticed how they stared at their faces, probably checking if they were wanted criminals.
"We're in," Aurora jumped in joy. She had been anxious these past days, but now inside the city, she felt safer.
The first thing they saw was a street packed up with people. Display of good and people screaming everywhere.
"This is an elixir of love. Come, and I'll make your desires true," said one of the vendors.
They now faced one problem, money. The carriage was expensive, and Joshua needed it to reach the capital.
Joshua talked with all of them and decided to split up. Khali and Hanrog, and Joshua and Aurora. Working in pairs would make everything faster. Khali said he would be in charge of collecting information, while Joshua would try to find a way to earn money.
"Oh well. It seems we will be here for quite some time." Joshua thought.
