Then, master Gabi played one last simulation. It showed Moirai, Peregrine and Stein away scouting and some others by the camp fire while Xyelia and Yui were farther off training. Few others were in the tent. Moirai was already finding it painful to watch as he saw the Garbeasts crash into the tent and brutally murder Manuel, then watching Lenard especially keep the Garbeasts at bay, before the smoke showed Yui suddenly become alert to something back at the tent and then just disappear, appearing in the tent to see the horror and take out some Garbeasts. Moirai found it hard to believe it was the same Yui he saw battle the Garbeasts in the initial simulations.
"Yui thrives best when traumatized. Her life is basically trauma, from what I've observed. Perhaps experiences like this were needed to really bring you all to the fore, to the reality of things."
