It's been almost 10 years since I was summoned to this world It feels like yesterday when I picked up a sword for the first time. Dexter was deep in thought reminiscing of the past, he pulled out a small journal and prepared to write his final entry but before he could start he heard a voice call out to him.
"Hey Dexter can you hear me" Erika waved her hand in front of Dexter's face trying to get his attention "Sorry I was just lost in my thoughts but where is the rest of the group" Dexter looked around not seeing anyone else "Nar and Theo just finished the rest of the demons around the area"
"Where is Sofie?" but before Erika could answer Sofie appeared in front of the both of them "I'm right next to you Dex" Sofie just stared at them with an innocent smile "How many times do I have to tell you not to do that" Erika almost having a heart attack started to yell at Sofie for scaring her.
Ignoring her Sofie started to heal Dexter "From the number of corpses I can see you must be pretty tired" Dexter looked around at all the dead demons and monster just shrugged "I didn't even break a sweat but it wouldn't hurt I guess" Dexter took this time to go back to writing in his journal.
"Why are you constantly writing in that journal for," Erika asked "Don't you get tired" Dexter with a smile just replied "This journal contains my entire time here with you and everybody else and I want people to read my story long after I'm dead" Erika just turned around puffing her cheeks "Whatever go back to your journal" You could see a slight smile on her face.
Going back to his journal Dexter was thinking about the past after the fight with Dantalion he continued to face even fiercer enemies some of them were demons dukes serving Demon King Baal and others were humans who sided with the demons. Dexters saved countless lives and was praised as the people's hero.
But not everything was sunshine and rainbows. On his journey to defeat the Demon King Dexter wasn't able to save everyone he lost two of his most trusted companions Adam and Arathel, they died protecting him believing he would be humanity's beacon of hope.
Dexter also noticed the corruption in this world people with no status or money were treated as second-class status and it was far crueler for the different races of this world they were captured and forced into slavery.
Dexter wanted to stop all of it and he believed that once he defeated Baal he would gain enough strength and influence to put an end to the plagues affecting this world. But Dexter knew not everything was bad as he looked over at Sofie and saw the ring on her finger, he was able to marry the woman he fell in love with and after everything is over both of them will change the world for the better.
"Are you guys finished resting?" Nar asked the three who were sitting on the ground. Dexter seeing the whole group has returned put away his journal, "I'm ready to fight but don't you two want to rest" Dexter pointed at both Nar and Theo "We're not the least bit tired we have more than enough strength to fight Baal" Dexter couldn't help but smile at Theo's respond.
"Since we're all here I think it's time we get ready for the fight against Demon King Baal" Dexter stood up and turned around this entire time he was resting on the entrance of the Demon King's throne room. But before he entered he gave Sofie a kiss "I love you Sofie" and Sofie with a slight blush looked into Dexter's eyes "I love you too Dexter".

As the group entered they heard a deafening voice "You finally came O GREAT HERO I thought you would make me wait a bit longer" Looking toward where the voice came from Dexter saw a man sitting on the throne. "You must be Baal" Dexter shouted while pointing his sword at Baal. Without saying a thing Baal stood up showing his full appearance to the group.
Dexter had a better look at Baal to his surprise he had a similar appearance to humans but Baal had dark gray skin with strange symbols all over his body and long black hair with two horns protruding from his head. "To think this world's inhabitants would summon a hero just to take me down" Baal then put out his hand and in an instant pitch-black armor was covering his body leaving only his head exposed.
What surprised Dexter the most was Baal was now holding a sword similar to his holy sword but it look corrupted the light wasn't there but was now replaced with darkness. Dexter trying not to get distracted shouted "I have come here to kill you Baal and stop your reign of terror". Baal couldn't help but laugh at this remark "Did killing all those weaklings give you this false confidence" Before Dexter could respond the rest of the group attacked Baal with their most powerful attacks.
Baal didn't even flinch he effortlessly blocked all their attack with a single hand "I forgot the Hero had companions" Baal put both his hand together and four summoning circles appeared. From those summoning circles high ranking demons came out "I wouldn't want my fight with the Hero to get interrupted" The four demons then rushed towards the group.
Erika put up a barrier to protect the group *crack* *crack* but the barrier shattered not able to withstand the force of four high-ranking demons. Two demons charged straight at Nar and teleported both Nar and themselves away from the group next was Erika one of the demons grabbed ahold of her and teleported her away "He's trying to separate us" Theo yelled while seeing the remaining demon go for him and Sofie just like the rest they were teleported away.
The only one remaining was now Dexter "That takes care of those weaklings" Dexter with an angry expression rushed at Baal and clashed sword with him "Where did you teleport my friends" Baal with a nonchalant expression just grinned "I couldn't have them interrupt our fight could I know" Dexter now furious attacked Baal with everything he had.

The once elegant throne room was now reduced to rubble from the fight taking place the same could be said about Baal and Dexter their once intact armor was now shattered and their bodies were blooded and bruised if any normal person saw them they would ask themselves one question how are they still alive.
How much time has passed since we started to fight and there is still no sign of anybody appearing? Dexter was thinking to himself while he was going in and out of consciousness. "I'll commend you O GREAT HERO for pushing me this far" hearing Baal's voice snapped Dexter out of his current state of mind. "The same goes to you Baal you even managed to cut one of my arms off" Baal started to laugh manically "Did you forget where my other arm is right now"
With both Dexter and Baal missing arms and exhausted to the point of just moving hurts. "I guess the both of us aren't in good shape why don't we finish this" Dexter clenching his holy sword started to cover his body in light to strengthen himself for his final attack and Baal did the same thing covering himself in darkness. "I want to know the name of the HERO who pushed me to go this far and the HERO who will die by my hands" Dexter took a big breath in and with all his might shouted "MY NAME IS DEXTER AND I WILL NOT BE THE ONE DYING TODAY"
Dexter uses flash-step to get behind Baal in an instant but Baal was still quick enough to block it "Arent you trying to finish this too fast" Baal pushed Dexter away to create some distance between them "FIRE PRISON" Dexter seeing walls of fire form around him Dexter rushed through the fire causing him to get burns.
To Baal's surprise, Dexter appeared in front of him and kicked him straight in the chin causing him to go flying upwards "Divine Arrows" dozens of arrows quickly formed and began plummeting to him. "Fire Shield" most of the arrows were burnt before they could hit him but a couple of the arrows were still able to pierce Baal.
"ARGH" Baal quickly gets up from the fall and pulls out the arrows from his body, not giving Baal time to rest Dexter rushes at him and slashes at Baal. Both of them now almost out of mana begin to use their pure swordsmanship. *clang* *clang* The sound of swords hitting each other was so loud it began to fill the room drowning any other noise out.
Dexter kept exchanging blows waiting for the perfect time to use his final trip card. Both Dexter and Baal seemed to be equal in strength until Dexter used all his strength to strike down causing Baal to drop his sword. Taking this opportunity Dexter started to chant "HOLY LANCE COME FORTH AND STRIKE MY FOE" a huge lance formed in front of Dexter and began charging at Baal.
Using all his mana left Baal used VOID SHIELD this was one of Baal's ultimate defenses. "You'll never be able to-" But before Baal could finish his sentence the lance shattered his defiance and went right through his stomach leaving a gaping hole. "How?" Baal was shocked and barely able to even stand up "The holy lance is able to pierce through anything but I could only use it one time, I was saving it to use it against you" as Dexter was explaining the lance began to vanish into dust.
"To think you were saving something like that the entire time" Baal was coughing up blood barely able to speak any longer. Dexter came closer to Baal ready to finish him off "You really are strong Baal being able to stand when you have a hole in your stomach" Baal just stared at Dexter and asked him one thing "Do you want to know how I became so strong" Dexter just ignored Baal and brought down his sword "I can look into the future"
Dexter stopped only centimeters from his neck "What" Dexter was confused "Did you say you could see into the future" Baal could only laugh from Dexter's surprise "I was able to use the information I gained to get stronger and build my army, that was until you were summoned no matter how hard I tried I couldn't look into your future" Dexter only became more confused "Why couldn't you see my future"
"But you know what's funny only at the brink of death can I now see into your future" Baal's eyes turned crimson red and he stared directly into Dexter's eyes. Dexter felt his whole body freeze and only after a couple of seconds did he come back. "What did you do to me" Baal not responding to Dexter just burst into wicked laughter.
"Do you wish to know what I saw in your future O GREAT HERO?" Baal asked "Dexter don't think this is the end of your story because it's only just begun, your future is stained in blood and to think you called those people your friends HAHA" Dexter now enraged gripped his sword and was about to raise it until Baal lunged at Dexter's sword impaling himself in the heart.
Baal now holding onto Dexter whispers his last word into his ears "How I wish I could see Dexter the great hero fall from grace"
