There was a girl about a few years older staring at me. She had long silverish hair that went down to her thighs. She had very pale skin, almost like a vampire. She wore a black fleece dress that stopped at her knees and had blood red roses as a design. That's when I noticed that she has pointy ears like an elves. Her eyes were as black as a clear dark night sky and has little sparkles in the middle. She was rather beautiful, I must admit. But she definitely wasn't a human like me, and I knew that for a fact.
"Uh.. hello?" I said. That's a great way to greet a strange creature in the middle of the woods.
The elf girl looked at me and cocked her head to the side. "You are human." she said in a wonderous tone of voice. I stare at her. "Uh, yeah. Of course I'm a human, you got a problem?" I cross my arms. She stepped closed to me and circled me a few times.
"You don't have pointy ears.." she placed her hand on either side of my face, making me a little uncomfortable. "Your skin is so smooth and soft. Your eyes don't have sparkles in them either." she started messing with my hair, but then she dead stopped and stood in silence.
"Um, you okay?" I ask the girl. For about another minute, she stood quietly, staring into my eyes. Finally, she shook her head and spoke. "You are Percella Solace." she looked as if she knew everything about me.
"Yeah, that's me. But who are you?" I said, pinching myself to make sure this isn't a dream. Ow! Nope, definitely not a dream.
"I am Elizabeth Caliano, princess and protector of this forest." The girl said. As she spoke each word, the wind around us picked up. I could hear birds singing, horses whining, wolves howling, and much more. What is this, some kind of Fantasy story?
"But how do you know me?" I asked. Elizabeth smiled. "Percella-"
"Percy. My name is Percy."
"Percy, our mother used to be the ruler of this forest and the magic that lies within it."
"Our?"
Elizabeth stepped closer to me and gave me a big hug. She whispered in my ear, "Hi sis."
I froze. Did she just call me "Sis"? Wait wait wait, back up. She said "our" mother used to rule this very forest that's apparently full of magic and probably other things. Thoughts swarmed in my head. "There is no way you are my sister, right?" I laugh nervously. "There is no way I'm in a "magical" forests filled with lots of other things I've probably never heard of! You're an elf, I'm a human! How can an elf and a human possibly be siblings? God, I think I'm going crazy!:
"Percy," Elizabeth sat me down then sat down next to me. "I know this is hard to believe, and I know its a lot to taken in suddenly. But before you were born, Mother owned all this land. Unicorns, dragons, elves, and so much more lived here, and it was the most beautiful place on planet earth. But somehow a guy named.. um.. ah, Aaron. He found this place along with a few other men, which should've been in possible. He invaded our area, killing everyone and everything he could. Mother saved as many as she could, but she failed. She told me to take you and let you live a normal life and tried to sacrifice herself, but I pushed her back and gave you to her. Mother was forced off her thrown, and went to try and give you a better life, even though she didn't want to. Ever since, I was able to force the men off the lands and created a powerful field around our place, but it was recently poisoned so the barriers haven't been much help. Percy, you have magic inside you as well, you've just never been told because of a rule that bans us from ever speaking about this magic to people like you. But now I've found you."
I sat in stunned silence. I was magic? I came from a family full of mythical creatures? I was royalty? My eye sight got blurry, and my hearing cut off. I couldn't move, speak, breathe. My life would never be the same again.
