Ten years ago my family has set out to ask the humans to supply us with fresh food. Everything was set to go. All the contracts were signed the only thing left was for the humans to abide by the contract. But they decided they do not want to share their food recourses with us. This has angered the Martians. We needed the food to help us get back on our feet. You see Mars has gone through a very cold period. Winter came and never left for three years. Our food started to die. We needed earth to help us provide food for our planet until the Mars winter has come to an end. Since the humans did not hold up to their part we decided no more nice aliens and invade earth. We started on the northern parts of the earth first and are currently working our way up south. Conquering all the cities and towns in our way. We will not stop until the whole earth is under our control. The first city we encounter has put up a fight but they lost. Word soon spread throughout the earth that we are on our way and will not stop until we have what we want. Some cities have decided it is not worth fighting agents and handing over the city to us. To those cities we are good. We treat them well. But the ones who decide to go against us we completely destroy and send the humans to Mars to work on the ice-cold lands. Most of them do not survive the cold but some do. They have to work off their debt to us for five years before they can return to earth and be free. Five years in the cold feels like an eternity no human will ever be the same after that.
We are in the middle of the earth and will invade the next city in two days. By now the city knows we are on our way. My brothers and I have set up camp next to the river. We want to do a bit of fishing before we head to the next town. We cannot fight all the time. We enjoy fishing just like any other sport. My brothers and I are very competitive. Everything is a competition for us. This is how the three of them got married. Henry lost a game of pool and had to marry Riley. It worked out well for the two of them. They fell in love instantly and never look back. Henry is the second oldest.
We all decided to run trek and the one that was last was next to get married. I have never run so fast in my life as that day. Owen lost and had to get married to Leah. The two of them clashed at everything! It took them a year before they settled into their marriage. It was a fun year. Leah would do anything to make Owens's life difficult. Then one day they sort of just clicked and that was the end of them trying to kill each other.
Conner lost a match of wrestling and had to marry Quinn. The two of them are insanely crazy. The day Conner had to pick a wife Quinn was busy fighting a bunch of guys. This has impressed Conner and they got married. The two of them are up to all sorts of craziness. The only things are that they do it together now. Guess it worked out all okay for them.
I am the oldest of my four brothers and am not planning on getting married any time soon. My father the king has sent us to secure Mars's future. Guess my brothers took that as their cue to grow the human-alien race. My father is delighted with my brother's marriage. He hopes that their marrying human woman will help with peach talks on earth.
It is a late summer's day and perfect to catch fish. We all set up our fishing rods in hopes to catch the biggest fish. Soon it turns into a competition as to who will get the most fish and who will get the biggest fish.
"Let's make a bet. If Marcus loses we will choose his wife for him. If he wins he can stay unmarried and never be forced to get married." Owen made the suggestion. The others think about this and agreed to it. It is agreed that Owen, Henry and Connor will choose a suitable wife for Marcus. Marcus has no say in it. His brothers have made a decision and he must win this fishing competition or be married to a woman he did not choose. He knows his brothers well. They will choose a wife not suitable for him. Marcus is very tall with all the alien superpowers there is. He is fast, strong and can read people's minds. The Martians are the strongest of all the aliens. They are also the only alien race that has immortality. They can grant immortality to others but they have to follow strict rules before that happens. It rarely happens that a Martian will grant immortality. There is only one way to kill a Martian and that is a secret only they know. It is not written in any book and no Martian will tell you.
The afternoon is starting to change to early night time and the fishing competition will end soon. Marcus is trying his best to beat his brothers. But today is not his day. It looks like he is going to lose this time.
"Come on Marcus just give up. You are so far behind you will never catch up with your brothers." Quinn said to Marcus looking at his fish. It is clear that he does not have enough fish to win.
"Fine, you all win," Marcus said feeling sad that he lost. He tried his best to win but fishing is clearly not for him.
"We will go into the city tomorrow and chose your wife for you," Henry said putting his arm around his brother's shoulder.
"This is so exciting! We are going to get another sister to join us. I hope she will fit in with us all." Riley said to them. She loves being part of a big family. Riley is an orphan and she always wanted to have sisters that will love her. Henry holds his wife close to him. He feels sorry for her. It breaks his heart that she has no family. He has promised to be her family and love her.
They all settled in for the night in their camp. With them are Martian warriors that help to fight and conquer earth. They all sleep in tents and travel in cars and motorbikes. They are about fifty people in their convoy. Fifty Martians in enough to scare the humans.
The next day they make their way to the city. Before they could enter the city the humans has set up a greeting party. They are waiting for the Martians to come closer. Marcus is the first one to walk up to them.
"What is this? Are you trying to fight us?" He is angered by their line of human shields. Marcus can see the men are shaking in fear of him.
"No Sir. We come out to welcome you to our city. We are not trying to fight you. The city people have decided to accept your rules and have set up a banquet in your honour. Come I will lead you to the banquet." The old man said to them. He turns around and starts to walk back into the city. Marcus shows his warriors to follow the old man. The old man leads them to a beautiful building. Marcus noticed that the city had prepaid for their arrival. This is the first time a city is has done this. All the warriors follow Marcus into the beautiful banquet hall and take their places. It has been a long time since they had such a nice meal.
The old man shows Marcus to his place and takes a seat at the same table as Marcus and his family.
"I would like to welcome you to our city in hopes that you will show us kindness. No one in this city wants to fight you. We know it is in our best interest to keep peach with you. No one here wants to lose their homes." The old man explains why they have welcomed them. This pleases Marcus that they rather want to work with them than against them.
"You can keep your city we will not harm anyone here or destroy your city," Marcus said to everyone there. He can see them all relax with this announcement. The old man looks to his side and said to the waiter to bring in the food.
Zinnia helps to take the food out of the kitchen and brings it into the banquet hall. Henry spots her and points to her. His brothers look at her and knot their heads. She is the one that Marcus will marry. She is a petite human girl barely the size of a jelly bean. There is nothing about her that Marcus will like. Her hair is short and curly Marcus prefers long hair. Since Marcus is extremely tall he prefers his woman to have long slender legs. Zinnia is short and curvy. The perfect miss-match for Marcus.
