"Will you do it?" Shane asked as he moved to open his locker to drop his gym bag. Brian looked at him and opened his mouth to speak almost immediately but there was no response. He stared at Shane for a while and began fixing his laces again. He suddenly remembered the ride yesterday. He had driven Shane home, his car had developed faults again. All through the way home, they talked about everything but the dare. Shane knew that he didn't want to talk about it, so he was grateful, he didn't bring it up, as they conversed.
For the past six months, Brian was trying to be as good as new. With his Coronation coming up soon he needed to have a clean slate. As he thought of what next to say, to Shane, his father's words echoed through his head.
"Shape up Brian! I would be turning in my grave if you have the worst rule in the history of Lycanthropy just because of some stupid youthful exuberance."
