[Connected to Yggdrasil]
[Welcome Adventurer]
Arthur couldn't believe he would create his character once again. It had been years since he got to see that starting screen. These were memorable moments of his life.
"Welcome adventurer. I'm Emerald, your starting guide here in Yggdrasil. This is the character creation, please choose your nickname.
'Hm, what nickname should I pick? Maybe the same as my previous life, Mad Sword.'
He chose the Mad Sword nickname, and luckily, no one had used it yet.
"Now, you can choose between this classes..." Emerald started to explain about each class, and these were things Arthur already knew, but one thing was rather strange for him. The explanation about classes and the option to choose one was after the character creation. Not that one could change much of it but still, you had the ability to choose your race and change some features.
"Hey, Emerald. Can I perhaps change my race?"
"I... I don't think so."
Arthur was stunned. He chose the Warrior class, hoping jump right into the game or get some clue about his race.
Everything turned black, and soon Arthur found himself in one of the beginner's village. One couldn't chose the starting location, but it didn't matter that much. Players from all starting villages would eventually met each other at the city.
Arthur opened his character tab, only to be surprised, excited, and afraid of the future.

[Cost: 25 Mana]
That was a lot of information, and the Skypean race, which was basically legendary, had its perks. Both of these passive skills weren't even from the race itself, but from the gigantic Scarlet Lotus Arthur had seen. He didn't know if he would learn more Skypean skills along the way, or if this Scarlet Lotus would prove to be dangerous for him.
'Well, it is already. Both of these passive are overpowered, but they will also make me mad, and possibly kill my friends. How can I participate in Raids when I can't even control myself?'
That would prove to be a pain in the ass. Arthur hoped that this skills increased a lot of his damage and attributes, that way he wouldn't need a party anyway. Hunting solo was hard, sometimes impossible, but it gave the most experience points as you wouldn't need to share with anyone.
Arthur changed his focus to his environment for the time being. The village he was in was called Twin Fangs, and it was packed with players. Yggdrasil was a sensation after all, and the number of players would only increase over time.
'All right, the starting village barely has any quest. Maybe I should just rush towards the open field and kill some monsters?' Arthur thought about his course of action. All of the beginner villages barely had any quests, and the few quests were kind of bad. It was more of a tutorial for the players, allowing them to practice the combat and get used to the game. Arthur didn't need that. He wasn't the best player back then, but still, he was at the top 200. Considering the immense amount of players, that was pretty good.
Arthur decided to rush towards the open field and hunt monsters. He also knew that almost every player would do that, and they would form parties to hunt the monsters more efficiently. Arthur didn't have that luxury, not until he figure it out more about his Scarlet Lotus.
'I know about a secret cave not far from here. Players will not find it at this stage, and I can kill the monsters there peacefully.'
Setting up his mind, Arthur left. He bought a black cloak from a vendor, using almost all of his money for a item that didn't give any stats at all.
'I need to look badass while hunting monsters, or else why would I do it?'
Rushing through the village, Arthur couldn't help but notice how funny the players were.
"This is so real. It's even more real than reality," one player said aloud.
"I know right, this is amazing," another one said.
Arthur also felt that way the first time he played, but that was long gone. While everyone was stunned with the game's quality and realism, Arthur had already left Twin Fangs village, heading up to a hidden cave not that far from the village.
'All right. I'll be the first player to reach level 2. Not only that but I'll be the first to reach the city,' Arthur was not joking around. He would soon enter in what he called, try hard mode.
