The sun shines high, the day bright as light, the life goes on forever, yet our heavy hearts bind us down.
The day was normal as Richard walked to the door after being shown the direction by the reincarnation office. He had waited for this day for a short time as per the normal flow of time. But he could not stop himself from using the external mind accelerator for reading the books available. Satisfied with the openness of the knowledge available in this place unlike his past kingdom he had thrown himself to the knowledge. One might say he was indeed fit to live himself alone and lead a proper life in this world. Yet if you ask for why he had chosen to be adopted into a family with an elder brother, he would say because he wanted to. Being in a family meant being loved by someone for him as it was problematic for him to accepting love. All the life of foes and fiends, guarding against enemies and friends alike and had ignited a deep desire inside him for wanting to have a loving family.
Hence Richard waited by the house for a long period of time before exasperating in a sigh to ring the bell. He did not have to wait when the door was opened by a young man in his twenties with blonde hair and loose dress. One could see his disheveled hair and yet thing him to be properly dressed for a King's Coronation.
James, the blonde guy, looked at the little boy who looked who stood 4 feet tall with black hair and eyes. The fair skin was shining in the sun, yet it had a proper reaction to it as to say I am born for the sun. James looked at the boy with a not so interested look yet he could see the boy could see beyond his appearance.
"So, you are supposed to be my new brother.", asked James in a polite tone.
"Greetings my new brother. I would like to thank you for the utmost respect you have bestowed upon me by allowing to become a part of your family. I am highly glad towards your acceptance and promise to work to being a proper brother, a best family member that you would have ever laid your eyes upon." said Richard with a slight bow.
James had a funny twinkle in his eyes upon seeing this expression. He stood straight and said, "Pleasantries are not required among family members dear brother. So come in and grab some food. It is the time for lunch after all and would not be too good to not enjoy a delicious meal."
James moved aside showing the way for Richard which he gladly accepted and walked in. Richard walked in towards the lunch which was after a few tables. He could easily see a good looking brunette women and a man with a dark hair. He bowed to them slightly at which James rubbed his hair and asked him to avoid such things in the future. He was seated with good food in his mouth, though he did have better food in the previous facility he was located. Seeing him not showing any special reaction the women stared at him for a few seconds at which the blonde kept staring at the plate of food and the crimson man had a gleeful smile at his face.
"So, I see you are enjoying your food", she said with a smile.
"Yes mam, the food is delicious. I would like to ask what might your name be?" asked Richard with a cute and innocent smile.
"You can call me mom, you need not know my name".
"Sure."
Richard kept on eating his food with not so much expression on his face. He was observing the expression on the faces of James and his new dad, as they had contradictory expressions, one as if he had suffered a long deal to stay silent after a long time and other having lived longer but started to escape from his own escapism having faced true reality and now enjoying every part of it when seeing the miserableness of others.
"You know son, the food is taken a lot of time to be prepares. We should always be thankful to the wonderful wonders in life."
"Yes mom, by the way, why is he blonde when you are brown and dad is crimson."
His new dad smiled and said," This world works on infinite resources and you are asking about a change in hair colour."
Richard smiled slightly and said,"I was from a magical civilization so it was indeed not uncommon for such accessories to be unavailable. But very few had used except the ones under hiding."
"Why, did you not have anything like cosplaying or something?"asked James with interest.
"Medieval era, feudal society, gods and demons, the usual color of heretics, one might wonder what they would say about it."
"At least they will be thankful for their food." said the mother staring straight at the face of the boy.
Richard smiled slightly and said"I had to follow certain things being royalty and all and replacing food with a divine energy source was what was important."
The father sighed and said, "He is new and from a completely different world, you should not be hard on your own son."
"Nobody eats my food and stays alive without appreciating it."
"Wasn't the food supposed out of thin air for infinity?"
The whole room went silent and James sighed. It seemed that his brother did not have much of the common sense required to be in this world. He smiled slightly and said, "Richard, we are a particular type of people who follow the lifestyle by only accepting the basic resources when necessary. We do want to impose somethings onto you but we do have some expectations that you will be a part of this group. "
"Would have been much better if you had even cut down that part."
"We actually do that. I work as a anytime call actor and my particular role is to play in as Lords' friends when they do a bit if conquering and find out that they have none to share it with or to show of to other lords. I even have records of having been in the great war of Casper to kill the evil Lord."
"Oh, did you have to kill a lion."
"Why would i be killings a lion?"
The mother of the child smacked at the table pointing her fingers at the child saying, "You, praise my food. "
James suddenly sang in a melody, "Oh great Queen of heavens, thanks for the great blessings of the delicious food."
Richard had an amused smile at his face. The mother seemed to calm down. She looked at Richard and said, "Oh don't mind that, i was one of the few persons before the all available thing, i had a dream to be a top chef even though i was not good. It were hard times and all and it still had gotten into me."
"Wouldn't it be better if you visited a psychiatrist?" Richard stopped slightly and not noticing any negative value on the faces of anybody he continues, "supposing I am not too presumptuous."
"One might say so son, but as a women, no as a human being I truly think that it is necessary to keep emotions alive. And being the fact that i can be too free i would prefer to have to naturally cured, and i am pretty much sure it will be so when i fulfill my dream of becoming a proper galactic chef."
"Hadn't a lot of time already passed after the great infinity."
The father smiled and spoke,"Apparently this is the lower time field and your mother has never used any time extension or ever entered the virtual world. And she wants to do it without the help of any books or extra knowledge points. I have lived in many time fields that i am much older than you mother."
"Yeah, i am married to a downright old man."
"And i am older than my mother."
"No matter whatever happens James, you are always my son. Unlike that ungrateful bastard who unlike you went over away just to fulfill his fantasy of having an evil harem."
"Rebecca, you should leave your son to whatever he wishes for."
"But he left us saying nothing more than he went to hunt some slime girls. What was that even supposed to mean?What do you think Richard, do you think he was right?"
"I would have expected better of him..."
"See Gregory, he sees it."

The mother smiled with a dangerous glint near her eyes, unfocussed yet sharp, she spoke with emphasis, "So you think it is better to have a dragon women in the harem than the slime women."
Richard thought and said,"With my past experience, when in my harem the women of dragon origin were much better to be as concubines, they were sure feisty when it came to succession rights but for proper strong person it was not a problem. It was indeed hard to not stay pleased with them around. Even though the other demi-beings were powerful, as per race trait they were better at it. Now i think of it, a wise man in our land once said,' It is good to have a elf as a lover but never take her as a wife. Never take a dragon women as a lover or wife but with always other concubines.' "
The father coughed slightly and said,"Son, sometimes you should feel the try to feel the dangerous aura around your mother "
The mother calmed down and said,"Don't need to listen to him, you can speak whatever you want."
James smiled and said,"I thought we were supposed to be family, he is supposed to suffer the same as i and my brothers have suffered. I will not stand for this discrimination against my brother."
"Oh, i made you suffer you say. Next time you ask me to come as the knight's proud mother you can find someone else." James hung his head low with a dejected expression. "So, what field are you planning to go in."
"Reincarnators school. Heard there are multiple people like me."
"There are also people whose first life is this time." James interjected.
"Sure, a place to learn, have fun yet do a job. nice place wouldn't you say."smiled Richard.
