Chapter 13 - 13.Misunderstanding

Since Professor Pilius' treatment of Lolita, all the children in Hankey Pankey's dormitory feel depressed, they become very afraid of Professor Pilius and some of them want to end their semester at Hankey Pankey.

"I really want to run away and go home to my parents and never come back here. I thought Professor Pilius was very nice, but it turns out he treats Lolita like that. You saw for yourself how much Lolita was in pain because Professor Pilius pushed the classroom door using his magic, it is possible that we will be treated the same way by him in the future," said Fredy with a worried face. Yuri and Alby looked at each other, they were the two who brought their friends here and if what Fredy said was true, then they both had to be responsible for the safety of their friends.

"We can't say that because we ourselves know Lolita has a very bad attitude. I'm sure that Professor Pilius knows best about his students, so let this be Lolita's business as well as Professor Pilius's," Yuri said sternly warning her friends not to worry.

"If what Fredy said is true, the two of us will be the guarantee because we were the ones who invited you here and were stranded with trauma," said Alby straightforwardly making all the children in the class look at Alby. It was currently their second break and neither of them had come out of their classrooms feeling that now they had to be more careful with Professor Pilius who used his magic so often unexpectedly.

"But, you guys are still our age too. What can you do if it turns out that Professor Pilius is an evil wizard?" Fredy asked again making Alby silent.

"There's really nothing we can do, but at least we'll stand in the front as shields so you can get out if what you say is true," Yuri said enthusiastically.

Fredy could only sigh softly, it seemed that Yuri was always excited even though the possibility that Professor Pilius was an evil wizard was very high.

"Don't be so sure, Yuri. You and Alby won't be able to save us from Professor Pilius and in the end we will all die at the hands of that old Professor," Jason said with an annoyed face. Yuri and Alby became angry because none of their friends supported them and instead cornered them both. The recess bell rang loudly making everyone in the class look frustrated, they didn't want to meet Professor Pilius. However, it was as if time had deliberately made the recess bell ring so that their break would end soon.

"Are you guys in class? Why not play outside the classroom? Are you guys excited about receiving magic lessons?" asked Professor Pilius in a friendly tone while all the students in the class looked very frustrated and scared, except Alby and Yuri who were acting normal with Professor Pilius.

The two boys still believed that Professor Pilius was only emotional with Lolita and would not affect the innocent.

"Professor, is there a penalty for leaving this dorm before the semester ends?" asked Fredy raising his hand to ask Professor Pilius. Yuri closed his eyes because he felt that Fredy's actions were not the right thing because Fredy could be the next victim because he was too presumptuous. Professor Pilius sat on the teacher's chair while putting down his books then looked at the curly haired boy sitting in front of Alby.

"There is no punishment at all, this school is an unofficial school. You can freely leave this dormitory at any time before I inaugurate this school after the semester ends, you still have a chance if you have doubts about Hankey Pankey," said Professor Pilius with a smile that always made Yuri and Alby feel at home in the dormitory. Fredy lowered his hand then nodded, he had intended to get out of Hankey Pankey. However, hearing Professor Pilius' explanation made him discouraged.

'As long as I'm nice, Professor Pilius won't treat me like Lolita, right?' Fredy thought while looking at some of his friends who thought the same as him.

"Is there anyone here who wants to resign? I will note it, I prefer you to go to school here happily, not under pressure. If you really feel pressured and can't afford it, magic becomes an annoying thing for you and I don't want you to hate magic, in the wizarding world you really need magic. If you hate magic, it means you hate yourself and hate this life," said Professor Pilius who knew that all the children in his class had become depressed since the incident where he taught Lolita a meaningful lesson. "No Professor, I just want to ask so that those who might misunderstand can understand with the explanation of the boarding system at Hankey Pankey, thank you for answering," said Fredy with a smile making everyone in the room nodded in approval.

Professor Pilius was touched by his first twenty-two students. He had been so cruel and strict as to educate all the children at Hankey Pankey, and yet they still wanted to be in that house and study magic with Professor Pilius. "Thank you for still deciding to stay in this dormitory even though I know you are scared and want to rush out of this school since yesterday's incident. However, don't ever look at me from the bad side because all humans have their own bad sides, but look what you get from that attitude," said Professor Pilius with teary eyes making Fredy uncomfortable because his question made Professor Pilius sad. The atmosphere in the class is full of emotion, it feels like this makes him know more about his students and what their students want. "We love Professor, sorry I asked you that, Professor," said Fredy as he approached Professor Pilius and hugged him.

The old man was moved to see Fredy's sincerity, who apologized to him without the slightest shame. All the children in the class immediately stood up and hugged Professor Pilius who was in the teacher's chair. "Thank you for the knowledge you gave us, although sometimes we always make you angry and lose your mind, but you are still kind to us," Yuri said with teary eyes. In the distance, Lolita saw all her friends hugging Professor Pilius. His face is very annoyed to see that happiness
