Chapter 9 - Alex, Neighbor

Page. C

What would happen if you were home alone with a feeling of dread that haunts you even more?

The answer is to run as fast as you can.

No one can survive in their home knowing how dangerous the 'creature' in the mirror is. And you also know what to do as a precaution, right?

Bring anyone, but not someone you love. Perhaps the most hated member of your family?

Bela is not the only person who will survive even in the same environment as you, she will not die like Varo.

There is near you, ah yes the man who is your neighbor.

——

Snorting in annoyance, Nada is now on the terrace of the house which is of course far from things that have mirrors. The ancient book that was her guide was now in hand, making her sigh when she finished reading what was written there.

Again and again, a name was written that she didn't even know, her neighbor's name was written in this book miraculously.

"Really? Bela will survive? Why was the person I loved taken away, while the person I hated the most was the survivor?"

And what does the book say? Neighbor? Yes, the only thing Nada hates is Alex. The guy who likes to make fun of her by mocking her like a weirdo with a nasty face just moved here but has already faced neighbors like that.

Nada turned towards the house on the left side of her house and found a man holding a water hose, seen cleaning his car.

Swallowed saliva with difficulty, as if she was trying to say what the book in her hand was saying.

If she doesn't find someone she doesn't like soon, all the house cleaning activities that need to be done will have to be delayed and you can imagine how angry Bela will be. Needless to say, her anger couldn't match those of the creatures that inhabited the mirror.

Choosing to get up from her seat, then slowly approached the low guardrail of her house. She looked at Alex who was on the other side, her face was handsome but her mouth was noisy like a woman's.

"What can I do? Better to try than nothing, right?"

Finally, Nada steeled her heart. She slowly walked towards the gate, and out of the courtyard. Arriving right in front of Alex's house, she immediately pulled over.

"Hey, idiot," she said, not wanting to be trampled on by her pride, she preferred to treat the man the way she treated herself.

The figure in question turned out to be sensitive and immediately turned to Nada with raised eyebrows. "Why? You are too confident, you must be everywhere with books."

Haven't said its intent and purpose yet, but it's been mocked first. Nada tried to ignore it, then exhaled slowly. "I need help, can you help me?" She asked with a slight mumble, she was embarrassed that she had rarely interacted with other people before.

Alex felt confused but did not hesitate to put the hose in the fresh, neatly manicured grass. Walked over to the faucet, and it immediately turned it off. He approached Nada, and opened the gate but did not tell the woman to enter. "Ask what? I think you're too smart to do everything yourself, considering you're a smart and diligent nerd."

"Just this once, my mother is gone."

"Ah yes, your mother? Tell her not to scold you so harshly every morning."

The tone that sounded almost widened her eyes, surprised by what Alex said. Wow, not even two days moved, it turned out to give a bad impression on some neighbors, annoying.

"Forget it, will you help me, or not at all?" she asked, finally too lazy to plead because Alex was too verbose.

Alex turned to his car that was free of soap foam, he sighed because after that he didn't do any activities anymore. Time to have some fun at the geek's house, right?

"Okay, come on."

"But what about your car?"

"Leave it alone, the driver will take over later."

Nada nodded, after seeing Alex who had closed the gate again and was beside her. She immediately walked over with the man following her.

"Your house is scary too, but sorry, I'm not scared because I'm going in there."

Nada is too lazy to ask people who like to tease and badmouth her. But there is no way out anymore, she is also afraid of Bela's tantrum.

"Enter." invite Nada as soon as she reaches the terrace of her house.

Alex walks in saying hello, manners are number one. He took off his sandals and placed them near the shoe rack and went deeper into the house.

"But your house looks nice, old-fashioned feel." I don't know, maybe this is Alex's first compliment for Nada. "But why ask for a company? It's nice to have a quiet home atmosphere if you can do your homework while listening to music." he continued.

Nada motioned for Alex to put his ass on the sofa, ordering the boy to wait for her here.

If you hear what Alex said, actually Nada always likes to be alone at home. Because she can get away from the figure of Bela who always hurts her heart, and acts arbitrarily towards her.

"That's what I want, but in this house it's dangerous." She replied with a sad laugh, even now she was alert and looked in the mirror a few times.

Alex raised an eyebrow, reluctant to ask because he knew nerds were weird with self-made lives. So, he shouldn't be surprised if Nada's words are a little strange and unreasonable.

"Yeah, that's how it is, do what you have to do, I'm just here, can I watch TV?"

Thinking about what Alex asked. All of Nada's daily life was managed by Bela, even for simple things like watching television, she had some time to herself. 'If Mom comes home and finds out the TV is hot, she'll be mad at me. Bela must think I'm relaxing at home, watching TV, when I'm cleaning the house' she thought as if she had guessed.

"Okay then, please watch television instead of making noise." She finally agreed.

"Bringing a handsome man, huh? Unfortunately, I can't add him to the list because he's not your favorite person," came a hoarse voice that greeted Nada's ears.

Making the woman immediately glance at the medium-sized square mirror that was deliberately placed there, so that if there were guests they could justify their appearance.

And there, right in the eye, Nada caught the same figure she had been talking to in the bathroom.

"Fuck it," Nada muttered.
