“Breakfast… The best and most important meal of the day,” I mumbled to myself while taking a bite of a delicious blueberry muffin. “Oh my god…” I groaned in delight.
“Well, that’s a sound I didn’t think I would hear anytime soon.”
Sonny’s distinct voice caught me completely off guard. My eyes widened in shock, and I almost choked on the muffin I had been eating. Oh my god!
Turning around to face him I forced a smile on my face. “Oh… Hey. I didn’t hear you walk in.”
“That was obvious.” He chuckled again while leaning against the counter eating an apple.
Rolling my eyes, I smirked. “Don’t look at me like that.”
“Look at you like what?” He smirked, shrugging his shoulders. “I’m not doing anything.”
“Uh huh.”
“I’m sorry about last night. I didn’t mean to upset you,” he said softly.
I hesitated for for a moment. It wasn’t his fault I acted that way.
“Don’t worry about it,” I replied with a smile. “You did nothing wrong. My head is all over the place.”
