Waking the next morning, I felt a heaviness within my heart.
I had run away from my mate, which wasn’t something I was expecting to do. I wanted more than anything to run into his arms, but I was so caught up with how I felt about my mission that I was ruining my chance of happiness. There were still things that didn’t make sense, and I knew Sonny was hiding something from me.
The sun shone through my open windows and cast rays of light across my room. I wasn’t sure what it was about the day that made me feel some solace in my life, but I knew that I had to change some things about how I was approaching situations.
Throwing back the covers, I sighed. “I have to get my sh*t together.”
I made a fool of myself last night with Sonny, and I have to change that.
