A group of bandits rush down to the basement. Before the group enter from the back, Arnold peeks through the door.
Arnold: "Let's go."
They enter the building. With barely any lighting, they move around and find the staircase on the ground floor. As they are about to go up, footsteps are heard. They all rush to hide. As the footsteps reach the ground floor, it comes to a sudden halt. Henzo, who reached the ground floor, looks around. The lights flick on. Over on the side, he looks towards the counter. As he starts to approach it, he hears a loud scream from the basement. He stops and heads down the stairs. He continues on his way down, heading to the basement. The lights flick back off. They peek and see he's gone. All of them walk to the stairs.
Arnold: "Slow movements from now."
In the basement, Henzo arrives, looking straight ahead. Right where the electrical box is, he sees Palu.
Henzo: "A monkey?!"
Henzo (in head): "No... all of these men unconscious..."
Henzo walks towards the electrical box. Walking passed the unconscious bodies, he continues to the box.
Kaizen: "Palu."
Palu flicks the switch and the lights go on. Out from the side, Clyde jumps out from the side of the car and tries to tackle Henzo. Henzo grabs his arms and swings him into the car on the opposite side, making Clyde fall to the ground. As he tries to approach Clyde, Kaizen comes in and tries to hit him with the bat. Henzo backs out and avoids the hit, making distance between him and Kaizen.
Henzo, on the side of the electrical box, looks at both of them angrily.
Kaizen: "A purple scarf. Didn't expect one of their best to come down for this."
Henzo: "Heh. You're one of the prisoners... you however..."
Kaizen: "Don't worry. You aren't familiar with me."
Henzo: "There should've only been five of you. So if it's only you two down here-"
Kaizen: "Mhm. You came down here yourself. Pretty dumb, wouldn't you say?"
Henzo tries reaching for his back but turns to see nothing.
Clyde: "Missing something?"
Clyde slowly gets back on his feet and flaunts Henzo's walkie talkie.
Kaizen: "Now, if I recall correctly, there should only be two red scarfs and one other purple scarf remaining. It's equal grounds."
Henzo: "And what gave you the impression it's equal grounds, when we have the numbers?"
Kaizen: "Well, none of these guys have lethal weapons. So I'm guessing the rest don't either. And if I could take out this many, I'm sure those guys can too."
Henzo: "Even if they get passed all the riffraff, Dune and Sandstorm will be able to handle them."
Kaizen: "I doubt that. I mean, if they're like those other guys."
Henzo: "Other guys?"
Kaizen: "You, go. Help the others. I'll keep him here."
Clyde: "What? Wait, I don't think that's a good idea. This guy isn't weak."
Kaizen: "I can tell. But you wouldn't be much help here. So go help the others. We have more of a chance if our numbers are larger. Tell them about the situation."
Clyde with no response left, steps up and heads for the staircase.
Henzo: "So you've come to save Ayana. How sure are you she isn't already dead?"
Kaizen: "Oh, we aren't here to save her."
Clyde runs up the stairs and reaches the ground floor. He looks around and sees nobody around. Large thuds hit from the floor above, which he notices. Clyde runs up and as he reaches the first floor, a bandit comes flying through the hall door, jumping him in a scare. He walks up and looks through the door, seeing a large number of bandits beaten on the ground. Feela notices Clyde.
Feela: "Clyde!"
Clyde: "How did-"
Kassius: "Nobody else is on this floor."
Arnold: "Let's go up. None of these guys will speak."
As they rush out, going to the stairs,
Clyde: "Wait. In the basement, the other guy told me to come help you, but he's fighting Henzo alone."
Bonnie: "Henzo?"
Arnold: "One of the purple scarfs."
Bonnie: "Oh."
Kassius: "That just lightens the load. Besides, Kaizen handled one before. He can do it again."
Kassius continues up the stairs, and the rest follow after him. As they reach the 2nd floor, Kassius opens the door.
Kassius: "There's nobody here."
They walk up to the end of the hall, and open the door to the big room. Inside, at the far back, they see Ayana tied up, with Sandstorm and Dune standing next to her. Ayana looking towards them all gets shocked.
Feela: "Ayana! You're alive!"
Clyde: "Thank god."
They all walk into the room.
Arnold: "These are the remaining red scarfs."
Sandstorm: "There's five of them. These damn riffraff can't do a single job."
Dune: "What does it matter? Those two are nothing. And remember what the boss did to that one? We can take them."
Sandstorm: "I don't remember you being the boss."
Kassius: "Where's your boss?"
Sandstorm, contemplating on what to say, looks at Kassius. He pulls out his walkie talkie.
Sandstorm: "Boss, he's here."
(Transciever) Sado: "I am at the fifth floor. I suggest you hurry, you may not have as much time as you think."
The line goes silent.
Bonnie: "What does that mean? Is this place gonna explode?"
Kassius: "Arnold, you got it from here, right?"
Arnold: "Yeah. Try deal with it quick."
Clyde: "Wait, are you seriously heading up?! This is clearly a trap. They're trying to separate us. We have the advantage now, let's beat these guys and go beat the leader together."
Kassius: "Let's go, Bonnie."
Kassius starts leaving, and Bonnie follows.
Clyde: "Hey, wait-"
Arnold: "Focus on them. Kassius doesn't need our help."
Sandstorm (in head): "The boss knew."
Sandstorm: "Seems like you've lost your advantage. Dune."
Dune: "Finally!"
Down in the basement, Henzo laughs.
Henzo: "Hahaha! The diamond? Are you sure you aren't the dumb ones here? Even if you all attack the boss together, you'd lose."
Kaizen: "Why would we need to do that? Kassius said he'll handle your boss and we'll handle the rest of you. And if Ayana is dead or alive, we'll leave with her."
Henzo: "The boy? Hahaha! I guess you weren't around. The boy got humiliated. And by some miracle, he thinks he'll win this time? You're all going to die. You've greatly underestimated us."
Kaizen: "I think I've actually overestimated you. If breaking out of your base was that easy, how hard is beating you?"
Henzo: "Heh... now it all makes sense. The reason everyone got out of the prison, it was you."
Kaizen: "Guilty as charged."
Henzo: "Fate is a funny thing. You've shamed me far too much. Since you weren't expected, I guess it's fine if I kill you."
Kaizen: "If you're anything like that meathead with the pole, I'm afraid you won't be killing anything."
Henzo: "So you beat Jamun? I'll commend you for that, but don't be mistaken. That oaf is not my equal."
Kaizen: "I guess we'll see, won't we?"
Climbing up the stairs, Kassius and Bonnie reach the 3rd floor and find nothing. They go back and head up, but as they reach the 4th floor, they spot Hamza through the open door of the hall, who sees them too.
Hamza (in head): "Two?"
Kassius: "Purple scarf. That must be the last one."
Hamza pulls out the walkie talkie nonchalantly.
Hamza: "Sandworm, Dune. Respond."
No response comes through.
Bonnie: "They're busy."
Hamza rubs his forehead, and gets up off the chair.
Hamza: "I guess I'll have to deal with this."
Bonnie: "Kas, you head on up. I'll deal with him. And don't lose this time."
Kassius: "I won't."
Kassius heads on up the stairs. Down on the 2nd floor, Arnold rushes around the room as Sandstorm follows him. Sandstorm tries to hit Arnold with a shock stick, but Arnold evades it. Sandstorm keeps up the pursuit and chases down Arnold. On the other side, Dune evades Clyde's punches, while Feela lies on the floor hurt.
Ayana: "Feela! Are you okay?!"
Feela: "Ugh..."
In anger and sadness, Ayana tries to get loose but can't. She bites down on her lip, trying to hold back the tears. Up on the staircase, Kassius with a serious look, runs up and reaches the 5th floor. He opens the door and sees a few bandits ahead. In the big room, Sado sits on the sofa.
Sado: "Here he comes."
Through the crashes and thuds outside the room, the door finally opens. Kassius looks up ahead and locks eyes with Sado Talman.
Sado: "Kassius Moore."
Kassius: "Sado."
Sado: "Seems you've changed clothes."
Kassius: "Have to be dressed for work. That's what Mekai always said."
Sado: "Work, huh? Is that what you'd call this?"
Sado stands up.
Sado: "You know, I'm a bit frustrated. First with Valeria, then those brothers. Then right after that, my base of operations. And now, you stand face to face with me again. Even after you lost. You should have been crushed, like all the others. But you keep coming back. So why? What is so important that you'd die for? Is it for the diamond? For your friend, Ayana? For your pride?"
Kassius: "My code."
Sado: "Your code?"
Kassius: "You have your reasons, and I have mine. But one thing set in stone. I'm a thief. And I've set my target. No thief backs down when their target is possible. So as long as I have a chance, I'm taking it. Even if I'll die."
Sado: "But your target isn't possible."
Kassius: "That's for me to decide, not you."
Sado: "So you think you can steal the diamond from me? Even after last time?"
Kassius stares at him, with a piercing gaze, showing no signs of wavering.
Sado: "Then I'm afraid you only have two options. You see, I'm exchanging this diamond to a good friend of mine and he should be here very soon. So it's either you fight and end up dying with your friends, or s-"
Kassius: "Save your deals. There's only one way this is going. I'm gonna beat you and I'm taking the diamond with me. Whatever happens next, happens. Right now, it's a simple dispute between thieves. That's all it is."
Sado: "Heh... then may the best thief win."
