"Who is Mila?"
Mila reflected to herself.
There's a character in the novel she doesn't pay attention to because it's only a side character with one sentence in the novel.
Milagros Esclamado was a female knight who fell deeply in love, married a duke and gave birth to the main character. She's a strong woman, well-trained as a knight, and has been in the battle field multiple times.
So how did she die?
How does a female warrior who survives various dangerous battles die inside the novel?
In reality, her death was simple. She fell into depression after her husband died, ignoring her child and following her husband to the afterlife.
The novel says:
"The mother of the protagonist died in despair at the loss of her love."
Even though the author was too lazy to put more effort into the one single sentence for Mila, he only used Mila as the protagonist of the novel to become independent and lonely as a child.
Thinking about it, Mila became sadder towards the protagonist's mother than towards the protagonist itself.
"Wow, Mila is too damn beautiful!" Mila commented while staring at her reflection in the sword.
She pulled out her sword at her waist after Robert carried her.
Her sword was poking into Robert, which she pulled out, but she ends up admiring Mila's beauty after seeing her reflection in it.
Mila's complexion had an impeccable, ocherous hue that proves that she's really a woman that is not sheltered but is always out in the sun. Her darker complexion emphasizes her Amazonian beauty more. Her seraph's ears and pixie's nose were sculpted to perfection, and her long wavy black hair remained elegant even though it was soaked in blood and dirt.
Also, without having completely checked on Mila's body yet, she knew that under her armor, Mila's female warrior figure fit perfectly on her svelte frame and her waist was formed like a decanter. Also, Mila feel so strong with her firm muscles on his arms and legs.
"She's a total girl crush!" Mila shouted, with sparkling eyes. It's no wonder how the main protagonist becomes really strong and eye-candy at the same time. It's because of the genes.
"Don't play with your sword. You might get hurt." Robert said as he heaved a sigh.
From his point of view, Mila's strange behavior needs immediate medical assistance.
"Yes, sir!" Mila happily responded while looking up at Robert.
Roberts' arms were so comfortable that she felt like she was sitting on a large, cozy sofa.
"Where are we going anyway?" Mila asked because Robert had been walking while carrying her. They went through a forest, leaving the corpse-filled field. They could still see some corpses on the way, but there were fewer of them than at the field.
"To the castle, Madam." Robert responded like a robot. He was done dealing with Mila's behavior and chose to ignore her. They both passed through the forest and entered the back entrance of the Duke's estate.
"Duchess!" a high-pitched voice called out loudly to Mila. A woman in her late 40s comes rushing up to them the moment they enter the gate.
"Hi?" Mila smiled and didn't put much effort into recalling who the woman was because of her plain appearance. Mila thought maybe she was another extra that the author hadn't put any effort into creating.
"Put me down, Sir Robert." She tapped Roberts' arms to let go of her, but Robert held her more tightly.
"Sir?"
"You're injured. I'll take you to the physician."
"I am fine. I am not in pain." Mila wonders which injury Robert is talking about since she feels completely fine.
"Your head is not fine." Robert replied while moving Mila up to readjust Mila in his arms.
"Oh no!" the plain woman gasped and looked at Mila with concern. "Madam! Please be healthy. We need you! "
Mila just awkwardly smiled toward the women, and then she just let Robert take her wherever he wanted.
"Can you tell how many are these?" the doctor asked, checking on her.
Mila frowned because the doctor was asking simple and nonsense questions to her, like how many fingers count, what color her clothes are, what is her name, and where are they?
Mila doesn't check on the original Mila's memories yet because she needs time and concentration to do so. She is glad that the doctor is just questioning her with simple questions, but does she need to act like the original Mila if it is only her dream?
Mila is still thinking about her situation as being in her dream, but the length of her dream is making her feel iffy. She was excited to meet the characters in the novel, as if she were attending a fan meeting. However, the extremely realistic experiences of her dreams are making her doubt and rethink her current situation.
"Is this still a dream?" She mumbled, which made everyone around her gasp after hearing her side comment.
She looked around at the people around her and felt like they were all real, living people.
The doctor, the plain woman, and Sir Robert. They all appeared to be made of something real other than paper and ink.
"Even my calloused hand feels real." She keeps mumbling, evaluating her situation.
"Hey doctor! Do something, she's acting weird again! " Robert exclaimed while grabbing the collar of the doctor.
"Sir, she is fine! She is physically fine! There is nothing wrong with her body!," the doctor said while cowering.
"Then why is she acting like that?"
"I can only heal physical injuries!"
"Then are you saying the Duchess was out of her mind?" Robert squinted his eyes and threateningly looked at the doctor.
"Chill Robert, don't be too harsh on the doctor. " Mila said, gesturing with her hand to ask Robert to stop threatening the doctor.
"Get out!" Robert effortlessly tossed the doctor to the side. Robert then leans on the bed where Mila is sitting and looks straight into her crimson eyes. "We don't have time for this, Mila. We still need to save your son."
