MORGAN'S POV

I felt a sharp pain in my head as I tried to split my eyes open. I tried to recall all that happened but blankness is all I get in return after many failed attempts to get a grab of the previous events. Finally I managed to open my lids. They were as heavy as anything I could recall.

"Geez." I yelled out "what on Earth do you think you are doing?" I said staring straight into those ocean blues eyes of hers.  

"I don't know maybe just trying to scare you I guess" she replied

"but I don't think I might be doing a good job at that, you really are a mess I do think your reflection might scare you better than any dumb trick I'm trying to pull" 

I smiled at her oh scarlett you act like a young cub at times she stared at me and gave me a do you want to die kinda look I just smirked at her knowing how much she hated being called little though that's not far from the truth.

"Hey Jade,awake?"

Nah I might be sleepwalking Brian of course I am awake,

"well since you are awake the Luna is asking for you"

Oh no I almost forgot mum she really is gonna be pissed at me 

I ran to my wardrobe picked up a random shirt  running down the stairs ignoring different people paying respects or greeting me being an alpha's son made me earn some respects

"He's going to be a great alpha scarlet"

Brian said

"well of course I do know that only if his wolf survives and we both know how that would end if it doesn't he doesn't have a mate yet  and time is what we don't have ""

"I think he's going to survive I've seen Jade through different circumstances and he's been doing great"

"i really hope so too" Brian added

MELINDA'S POV 

Walking back and forth in the room I couldn't help but think about old memories.

Only if his father was alive I wouldn't have to go through this all alone. Does he know how difficult this is for me? I ask myself  (Jade rushes in ) 

"sorry mum I came running down as soon as I heard you called for me"

oh son you just tend to forget things easily don't you? 

"Mum I didn't hurt anyone I swear by the moon goddess".

What use is swearing?   you promised me by that same moon goddess that you wouldn't go  frockling around yet you did  and I guess the moon goddess must surely  be disappointed in you.

Rather than  finding your mate you just let yourself loose during a full moon knowing how desperate your wolf is didn't you think it could take control? 

Jade you need to learn and of all you need to find your mate as quick as you can it's time for you to take your place as alpha, I'm just a Luna I really don't know how long I can hold up anymore I've tried with putting up the facade of being strict and uptight but I need some me time Jade I need to rest it is time to retire there is little I can do it's time for you to build up and begin your legacy and it's time for mine to diminish.

No pack can survive without an alpha 

"Mum I've got Caden under control he's not gonna go awol, I really do wish to find my mate and I've been trying but the moon goddess really doesn't think I'm fit to have one maybe I'm never going to find her or my uniqueness involved me not having a mate just maybe mum""

Son you have a mate out there matter if fact she might be right around reach but you have to search it still doeantetter if she's within reach if you don't let her feel the bond it will never connect on it's own accord but that doesn't count as an excuse for running wild on a full moon.

My orders should remain as orders if you do not obey them, who will? 

""mum you are making an issue out if nothing I have everything under control it's fine you just don't expect me to keep sniffing or touching every girl in town just to activate the mate bond and I'm pretty sure I can handle things on my own""

Jade you leave me no choice I'll have to punish you one way or the other 

JADE'S POV 

Let go of me I'm not gonna run off or something you know

(a large thud sound) you dare throw me I think there would be a change when I become alpha 

"(distinct voices) then try to be one first (laughter) "

They all think I'm a Joke.

I look at the iron cell it was built with wolfsbane werewolves worst enemies  well other than vampires I smiled looking around the wall I've been a frequent visitor to this place for the past 3 full moons  this cell was built for rogue wolves who came into the territory to spy or wolves who tried to assassinate the Luna.

now her son is in the same cell meant for her assassins.

I scoff so loud I'm sure the guards heard I closed my eyes to doze off but sleep wouldn't just make way so I began to drift off into old memories

YOUNGER JADE'S POV

"Listen son you are an alpha and it's your land to rule your territory to Mark and your people to dominate but you won't get to do any of that if you remain a weakling I know there are spies and you need to keep your wolf hidden at times you should learn to share with it not just control it you should understand it and let it understand you your wolf is your other half Jade keep your mum and the pack safe be a strong alpha because one day I would be no more and all that is mine would belong to you including my allies and my enemies

BACK TO THE PRESENT

BRIAN'S POV 

I walk down into the cell meant for Jake I do not like being in places like this I wonder who gave the orders to have this place built it was an underground cave but it had lights and cells all around most wolves kill themselves when captured even before being brought here they all hate the toture they might have to face in this underground cell our pack has been and will always be one of the strongest,fittest,and scariest pack Melinda really put in all effort just so Jade wouldn't have to go through problems when he's alpha 

I walk over to his cell to see him sleeping how  can he even doze off here not to talk of actual sleeping 

Hey get up off your lazy ass your mum asked me to get you out of here and help you settle 

"oh so now she cares and you care ,at times I think you guys are actually allies I thought we were besties"

uh you smell

"" but what's with all the wolfing out you've been really sloppy nowadays I  knew you to be this crazy but recently you've been acting like a rouge wolf in training""

(already in Jade's room)

"" just shut the door behind you I don't want anyone up in my business,sit and it's still my pleasure if you keep standing" 

""well talk I almost shouted at Jade"" 

"hey guys what's wrong? I heard you a

shout at Jade"

" hey scarlet" Jade replied 

well he almost wolfed out on me,

" Is that true Brian?"

Of course not ,

well yes but not really I am just worried for Jade he has been acting weird lately.

"That's true Jade "scarlet said 

" well if you guys are that curious I would tell you if you do promised you won't anyone'" Jade asked

JADE'S randomly he was in a cafe and I dropped by for coffee or was it sandwich well that's that I just dropped by for something and there was a strange aura emitting from him I could sense something odd  caden seemed restless(his wolf) I just couldn't get what was wrong.

The second time I wolfed out I seemed to be restless at the pack house and decided to go for a run in the woods but it seemed like my wolf knew exactly where he was going i tried to communicate with him but he blocked me out and took control I could only sense see and perceive things I had no control when Caden took over all of a sudden I halted not really far from a river bank I saw that same guy he looked oblivious to the fact that I was hovering around I kept peering trying to find something odd but nothing I left there on haste as the clouds began to rumble caden doesn't like being wet 

yesterday I layed in bed I was asleep  I just can't explain how I found myself in the woods just this time not far from a house I didn't need to strain my ears before I could clearly hear that they were preparing for dinner I tried to shift back but Caden wouldn't all of a sudden I saw that same human come out and he seemed to stare at me at first I was confused though I wasn't far from the house I was well hidden in the darkness of the woods but it seemed like he could see me and I just didn't know what happened next I woke up today on bed having a terrible pain in my head well that's as much as I  could  recall 

"So you don't remember. Anything at all" Brian asked? "You don't remember how you got to the pack house?"

No i don't I replied feeling  very irritated with all the questions and stares. I brush my hand across my hair. I let out a heavy sigh. My eyes darted to Brian and moved to Scarlett. Say something you also don't think I'm crazy right?

" Well I'm not really sure how to put it" she answered "but I think it's an issue should we tell Elliot about this?"

Of course not Elliot I screamed we three know he may be the wisest among the wolves in our pack and the other packs but the moment he hears of this he'll report to the Luna and we know what happens after that

"Well that's too bad" we looked towards the door and saw Elliot walk on in

"I heard already" Elliot said with a smirk on his face.
