"Babe! Please." She pleaded, but I pulled away from her hug and wore my clothes. I went out of my room and went downstairs. I'm hungry because we haven't eaten anything at the headquarters.
I opened the fridge and found a leftover, but I almost dropped it when I turned around and came face to face with Lara who was standing a few inches away from me, with her tears streaming down her face.
"I'm sorry, Babe." She sobbed.
"I will forgive you if you change your coach." I walked past her and put the leftover food in the microwave. I wait for it to warm with my back facing her. I could hear her hiccups and sobbing. It pains me, especially because I'm the reason for it, but her life is at stake here. I can bear hearing her cry, but I couldn't bear losing her.
I take out the food and take it to the dining table. I pulled out a plate and a spoon before I settled on the seat beside her.
