Chapter 1 - 001 - Consciousness

In a facility made to keep the creatures of the Wilderness. The captured baby Guinea pigs were put in a simulated environment so that they could be observed. In the Tam Civilization, the Majority of the population were Mechanics, they would focus on making machines that would be strong themselves as they would usually have a weaker body compared to the Magi and the Primals, yet they would not be defeated easily, as they would prepare machines for all types of situations, and would fight using strategy. Yet some Mechanics would also try to strengthen their bodies, these people were discriminated against as they were seen as having to strengthen their bodies because of having less intelligence. Yet as in all things in life there are exceptions.

The young man who brought the baby pigs was an exception. The Squad he was with was his Squad, he believes That technology should further enhance someone's strength not be the basis of strength. While people looked down on him he swore to rise to a high position of power and show those people wrong. Currently, he was a Squad leader, he was in the middle of the hierarchy, he had a small glimmer of hope that these little pigs would bring satisfactory results.

Warmth.

Light.

"Wheek Wheek Wheek!" (Where am I!?).

I open my eyes and see these creatures who look similar, but different colors. As I look around I notice I'm the only one that is up. I see these brown tall things that have even skinnier small green things that fall.

I start moving towards the tall brown things, my first response is to start sniffing one of the smaller skinnier brown things on the ground. The next thing I know I'm biting it, something in my mind tells me that I should continue to chew it. After I finish I sniff the air and catch a whiff of something that smells wonderful, I follow the scent and stumble upon this long orange object with some long skinny green hanging off an end. After sniffing it and it seems fine, I start to eat it, I feel a nice cool sensation pass through me as I continue to eat it's until it's gone.

"Sir it seems that only one has woken up and it seems to be acting purely off of its instincts instead of thinking" reported one of the observers.

"Hmm... take that one and start experimenting to see if we can enhance its intelligence, but don't give it too much intelligence as who knows what can happen if you do," the Head researcher said as if he were a robot reporting something.

"Right away, Sir!"

Soon after having my meal, I was taken by some sort of round object and out to sleep somehow. The next moments of my life were a blur, but what I do know for sure is that I was feeling immense pain. For a long time, I felt something digging into my brain, my brain slowly changing, each passing moment my mind was going through a rapid evolution. I started to be able to question things, wonder why this was happening to me, why do we live, what does it mean to live. After I started to think of if I'm the only being feeling this pain, and at that moment I started to be able to form words because of this feeling that a huge stream of information was being delivered straight to my mind.

After some time I had been given lots of information such as the Human language, the current state of the world, that I am a weak creature that comes from the Wilderness and was told that the Tam were my creators and that I should be grateful to them and do my best to help my creators when I could. For a moment, I had truly felt grateful for being bestowed this knowledge, but then I remembered that when they gave me information about what I am, it was mentioned that I had relatives in a different area and that they would be receiving the same treatment as me if everything went well in giving me intelligence, they also informed me that they knew the experiment had succeeded so there would be no point in pretending not to have gotten my intelligence. Even though I was a newborn I knew that even if I wanted them not to do what they did to me, to my fellow brothers and sisters I needed strength to be able to do something.

The Humans gave me a tablet to be able to write words in so that we would be able to communicate with each other. They gave me a series of tests to complete to see how much intelligence I had, but I purposefully decided to do some mistakes to try and lower their expectations of what exactly I was capable of doing. They also tested my physical capabilities and at the end of it, they were able to put what I could do in a stat sheet.

[Name: (Blank)

Intelligence: 25 (Average Human has 15 Int., average Tam citizen had 30 Int. slightly below average, and can communicate with Humans)

Agility: 3 (Able to move around Nimbly, and have a quick burst of speed up to 9 KM/H)

Strength: 1 (Able to move around lightweight objects, but has difficulty moving things heavier than itself, strength training heavily recommended)

Stamina: 2 (As mentioned previously can have a short burst of speed, training recommended)

Mana: 0 (No magical presence at birth, still possible to awaken attribute later in life)

Perception: 2 (Can see color and 340 degrees around itself, and uses whiskers to see in the dark, but doesn't use other senses to be able to be fully aware of surroundings)

Overall: Weak creature, with slightly below-average intelligence of a Tam Citizen, but there is potential as this is a newborn creature and if given the right stimulus can be grown into a powerful weapon or reconnaissance drone.]
