Despite knowing that Rocky would eventually be cryogenically frozen and having been reassured numerous times by him, Jennifer still feels anxious about the situation and their hopeful future. Determining there is only one being she could talk to about this she heads straight to 343's "containment cell". Upon knocking on his door, she is surprised to not hear a welcoming "Come in, my dear", as was his habit of addressing her. She slowly opens the door to find the room empty.
"Where could he be at a time like this?" Jennifer asks herself out loud.
A tap on her shoulder precedes a deep gentle voice. "Right here, my dear."
Jennifer whips around, in the middle of his sentence, in surprise. "Dear God, DON'T DO THAT!"
343 smiles. "Bad habit, my apologies."
Jennifer steps closer to him slowly wrapping her arms around his rather muscular right arm. "I imagine you know why I am here." She says sadly.
343 chuckles. "I would be a poor heavenly father if I didn't. Please, come in."
Jennifer walks with 343 as a light aluminates his room. She looks up to see what seems to be a hologram of the universe.
She reaches out to one of the planets, but 343 stops her. "Careful, my dear, that is not a simple illusion." He says softly but urgently.
Jennifer quickly retracts her hand. "Sorry.."
She looks around to see the furniture built out of the finest black marble and lined with gold. A few items appear to be organized on a rather large table in the center of the room, the most notable of which included bracelets, necklaces, rings, and numerous officer and researcher SCP uniforms of varying sizes.
Jennifer stares at these for a moment before following 343 to a sitting area. "What is all that for?"
343 chuckles. "Just my preparations for the new era.. I am not quite done preparing and time has almost run out."
Jennifer sits down slowly, expecting the marble chairs to be cold and hard, but instead, they are softer than any other chair she had ever set in. "Am I keeping you from preparations?"
343 shakes his head. "I always have time for those who seek me out. Now, I understand you are nervous about the future. I assure you that you will be pleasantly surprised with the outcome."
Jennifer hangs her head. "That SHOULD comfort me, but.. I am just a worrisome individual.. I guess."
343 props his cheek on his hand with a smile. "Tell me, when was the last time you looked in a mirror?"
Jennifer frowns. "I actively avoid them.. I am afraid I will see my own future.. my own.. death."
"There is more to your sight than pain, destruction, and death, my dear." 343 says gently, like a father to his daughter. He then snaps his fingers and a mirror appears. "Why don't you see for yourself?"
Jennifer timidly looks up. Her reflection seems somehow wrapped, so she stands to see if the distortion is in the mirror or herself. Coming to a full, upright position, Jennifer cups her hands over her mouth as tears of joy well up in her eyes. "Tell me I am dreaming! Can this be true?!"
343 nods with a proud gentle smile. "Yes! You will, in the near future, be with child, my dear!"
Jennifer turns left and right examining her pregnant image. "I.. have been having dreams.. images of myself in a lab coat also.. Is that.. real too?"
343 nods. "A whole new life awaits you. One where the Foundation values you very highly and even employs you."
Jennifer turns quickly to 343. "The child IS Rocky's, right?!"
343 looks at her with a questioning expression. "Do you plan on sleeping with any other men?"
Jennifer smiles shyly and shakes her head. "No. I am very happy with him."
"So I can tell!" 343 says standing up. He then approaches her and wraps her in his strong arms. "My blessing on your union with this man. He is everything I have ever wanted for you!"
Jennifer lays her head on his collar bone. Tears of joy run down her face as she returns the hug. "Thank you!"
After a moment 343 pulls back and looks into Jennifer's eyes. "I am very proud of the progress you have made and even prouder of you for giving love a chance. My cupids have been eagerly awaiting you two's union for quite some time!"
Jennifer looks questioningly at 343. "Why is that?!"
"Because your child will be the first conception in a world united against evil!" 343 replies.
Jennifer glances away and back again questioningly. "Is.. it a boy or a girl?"
343 chuckles. "Now now, my dear, I can't go spoiling all of life's wonderful surprises!"
Elsewhere in the facility, Doctor Therman retires sadly to her office, entering and closing the door behind her. She then proceeds to her computer, laying Sasha's motionless chain down on the desk before beginning to type SCP-GU411's file. Slowly she sinks into her chair as she types the following into the database.
Item #: SCP-GU411
Object Class: Euclid.
Object's Description: SCP-GU411 resembles a normal caucasian male, medium-length dark hair, blue eyes, age 32, standing at 5' 10", with a fairly average muscular build. No anomalous distortions are present in his appearance.
Object Relevant Information: Originally an officer of the SCP foundation, his SCP classification represents "Guard Unit" and his badge number, 411. All records and actual term of service, to the SCP Foundation, is classified under 05 command clearance, and as such have been redacted from all other lower clearance access. Researchers became aware of his anomalous abilities when he was located, without authorization, in SCP-053's cell. Seeing as his authorization level was 0, at the time, there was no explanation for his presence in said containment cell. He never experienced hatred for SCP-053 in the apparent thirty minutes he had been inside, no adverse behavior of any kind, and even was able to touch her hand without incident, much to the joy of the little girl. Afterwhich, he was stopped outside the door, as he left, by a researcher and four armed officers, and was detained.
Additional: SCP-GU411's anomalous ability includes aura manipulation, slight regenerative capabilities 50% faster than a normal human, and appears to be made up of three phases which allow for constant resistance to telepathy, by choice. To date, only gaseous forms, specifically sleeping gas, are known to be capable of passing through his aura and incapacitating him, all be it for a short period of time. However, poisonous gases appear to have no effect due to his regenerative abilities. Currently, researchers are at a loss as to why this difference in effect occurs, and have concluded his aura identifies one as more of a threat than the other. In phase one, limited manipulation of his aura allows him to heighten his strength, durability, speed, telekinetic resistance, and senses (likewise dulling pain in the event his aura is ever penetrated by alternate means or extreme blunt force). In phase two, he is further able to manipulate his aura into invisible weapons, hands, etc which can only be detected, all be it slightly, by thermal imaging cameras. This is due to his aura giving off slightly higher temperatures than his body. However, phase two will also become active when the subject is either asleep or unconscious, making attempts at harming the subject completely futile, and leading researchers to conclude his aura is sentient, if not fully sapient from its host body. This is because, as noted in various tests, the aura will not only shield the subject from harm but, in extreme cases, will defend the subject. When the subject reaches a state of extreme distress or exhaustion, phase three takes over sending the subject into a rage state, which leaves the subject in a semi-intelligent, primal state of mind. The subject's aura will become partially visible to the naked eye, 50% more visible to be exact, forming around 65% of his body as a bipedal wolf (or werewolf, as it appears larger, more muscular, and more humanoid than a normal wolf.) In this phase, the subject is 35% more susceptible to physical harm. The only other indication of these phase changes is the color of the subject's irises from blue to grey and finally pure white.
Containment Procedures: As per orders, directly from the 05 council, the subject, being in his rage state, was administered sleeping gas and moved to a cryogenic chamber, wherein he is to stay for the foreseeable future. The cryogenic chamber is housed in a reinforced 10x10x10 cell and constantly under surveillance from normal and thermal imaging cameras. No access will be permitted unless first approved by the entirety of the 05 council expressly for the purposes of maintaining the cryogenic process. This is due to GU411's anomalous heat, emitted from his aura, melting the ice. Any attempt to free SCP-GU411 will be met with swift termination, by armed personnel, no matter who they may be. Should a containment breach occur, the subject is to be administered weaponized sleeping gas loaded into multiple cannons, mounted on the containment cell walls, and issued to SCP officers, and then returned to the cryogenic chamber, as there is still no known way of terminating him.
Personal Notation: It is with a heavy heart I realize that I was an unwilling participant in discovering these containment procedures. I regret.. ever being assigned to GU411, as I have now lost a dear friend and colleague. He had a nurturing demeanor to all staff and SCPs he encountered and strived to always find the common ground to problems. The cryogenic freezing, all be it necessary at the time to stop his phase 3 rage state, is now rendered unnecessary and I believe he should be allowed to answer for his actions. I fear.. SCP-GU411's absence will result in growing distress and ultimately containment breaches from multiple SCPs. You remember what SCP-076 said, right? He was quite upset that you "dishonored" their battle. I have no doubt he, more than any of them, will take a special interest in GU411's disappearance.
Doctor Therman leans back in her chair with a sad sigh, glancing at Sasha. "I know you probably can not hear me.. but I am sorry this happened. I.. I will try to make it right, I promise."
Slowly, A black tar emerges from the wall to her right.
Doctor Therman, however, does not seem to notice until 106 begins coming through. She jumps in surprise. "Are you here to kill me, 106?!"
106 shakes his head and lays a metal box on her desk.
"Something from Rocky?!" Doctor Therman asks excitedly.
106 nods and begins heading back through the wall.
"Wait!"
106 stops and looks at her.
"Do you have further orders to perform?" Doctor Therman asks, slowly standing.
106 puts a finger to his lips in a shushing position and disappears.
"Thank you." Doctor Therman says, opening the box.
Inside is a letter addressed to her. As she reads it, happy tears begin flowing from her eyes. "Doctor Therman. If you are reading this, I have no doubt been cryogenically frozen, by my own design. Rest assured, this will not hold me for long. I highly suggest you find a safe and secure location, as my fellow SCPs will be making multiple attempts, if necessary, to free me. I do not wish you any ill will, nor do I blame you for this turn of events. Stay safe, I will see you soon for another pleasant interview, nothing left unsaid."
Doctor Therman returns to her chair and erases her personal notation from the file before hitting save. "No point in warning them, they will get what they get."
Meanwhile down in the cryogenic chamber, the ice melts away enough for Rocky's hand to move. Almost instantly an alarm begins going off, and maintenance works rush in.
At the same time, Sasha's chain jerks and leaps at Doctor Therman, wrapping around her neck three times, and causing her to drop the letter. "Give me one good reason I shouldn't remove your head from your shoulders!!" Sasha shouts angrily.
Doctor Therman, unable to speak, reaches for the letter and grabs it.
The door to her office opens and in walks Jennifer, slowly removing her blindfold. "Doc... SASHA! Stop!"
"Oh hell no!" Sasha shouts back. "She hit the button that started all of this!!"
Doctor Therman franticly waves the letter towards Jennifer, which she takes and reads over quickly. She then tries her best to remove Sasha to no avail. "Sasha, read this letter from Rocky, PLEASE!" Jennifer holds it up.
At this point, Doctor Therman's face is turning blue.
The end of Sasha's chain turns towards the letter loosening her grip as she reads until, finally, she falls to the floor.
Doctor Therman coughs, rubbing her throat.
"I.. can't move again.." Sasha says. "I.. I am.. sorry."
Doctor Therman quickly picks her up. "Don't worry, Sasha, we will fix this, and we will have girl time again. I promise."
Sasha turns cold to the touch and does not respond.
Jennifer looks at Doctor Therman sadly. "She is just so loyal to Rocky.."
"I know. I don't blame her. Honestly, I might have done much worse, had it been me." Doctor Therman replies, laying Sasha back on her desk gently. "We need to get Rocky free. I am not so sure he can do it on his own."
Jennifer smiles, instinctively placing her hand on her belly. "Already in progress. All we have to do is stay out of the way."
Meanwhile, the D class makes his way to Mary's cell. He stands outside for a moment. "I found you!" He sings with a chuckle.
